you sniffle softly.your eyes begin to blink as you blink into the dim light of the darkness.you hear soft breaths and your body tenses.you stand up moving around the tree cautiously.you pout softly as a soft chuckle echoes above you.a small figure drops behind you.his bodies drenched in blood and...words?they read "i am a monster" you back away slowly at the thought.you slowly begin to process the words carved on his lanky body.he chuckles tilting his head slightly."why you afraid doll?" you scoff and glance at his chest.he rolls his eyes as his lips form into a small  pout.he lowers his head and sits on the grimy dirt."hidden in the shadows..." you whisper.he nods softly stumbling to his feet slowly climbing back into the arms off the withered tree.you keep your head down as tears well up in your eyes.fear will be the death of me."uh doll face"..."meh names Issac..." you shift your eyes upward and stare as his leg disappears into the darkness along with the rest of him hiding in the arms of the tree the safe guarder that's hidden in the shadows.

I stared at her small figure as I sat in the tree.i couldn't tell whether she was judging me or whether she was just disgusted by me.but I caught a glimpse of pity when she spoke to me.im not anyone to feel bad for.you shake your head softly trying to get her out of your mind.its pointless, if she could read my chest it says I'm a monster I'm sure she's gonna stay away just for that reason ayways.you watch as she leans her head against the dirt.she didn't even tell me her name you whisper.her head turns upwards and she shouts "Micah" she smirks to yourself she can't see you but she heard you.ill keep in mind she has a good ear.and maybe she might not stay away after all.she gave you her name maybe she'll stick around get to know you...psh maybe you mutter.she giggles softly."you talk to yourself alot and it's kinda hard to understand what your talking about when you only say somethings aloud and the rest you say in your head" she giggles out."yea I know i have problems I'm going insane you know?" she nods "yea I know i can already tell since I'm gonna be here awhile I'll probaly go insane and if anyone's watching me other than you all they see is me talking to a tree psh they probaly think I'm mental already.you chuckle softly "nah they can't judge just about everyone here has something weird about them you talking to a tree is basically normal" she snorts "a place where I'm not the paranoid freak intresting I guess this might be home like he said..." you scrunch up your face "like who said?" "like that demon said the demon who murdered my family" she pauses and whimpers slightly "the demon that took me here I should've never let him out" she crys "none of this would've ever happened if I hadn't of" you frown softly jumping from the tree once more.she looks at you with a quick glance then proceeds to stare at the small blades of grass in front of her.you brush her hair from her face "what do you mean you let the demon out" you pause and think "h-how did you get control of whether they come or not?" she scoffs but replies "when I was younger it asked me if it could come out and if I wanted to at play a game I always said no...but one day it said it wouldn't hurt me and it said all i had to say was the words yes you can come out i wanna play a game...i never put it back away i guess I'm not sure but I ignored it the next time it spoke and then it finnaly lost it's shit destroying my world killing my family and bringing me here..." she sniffles and whimpers loudly.you run your fingers through her hair pulling her body against your chest "it's okai ill protect you from harm i swear" she relaxed slightly but still cried I think deep inside we both knew against the demons I couldn't protect her let alone myself but I sure would try.you kissed her forhead.night fall was coming soon it would become pitch black.its dangerous in the dark you learned that your first day here.you lead her to the bottom of the tree and tell her to climb.her feet move slowly up the trunk as you follow her up.she looks around and her face softens as she meets your eyes."you meant it?" you frown until you realize what she means then you smile softly "yea I did" she blushes and lays her head against your chest and drifts away.you lay your head on the pillow like pile of leaves and go into a dream of darkness.
