Chapter 6~ Pick One

Raven:
When the team got back, they hooked me back up to the machines. "Raven, you can't get up. You will not get better if you walk on your leg or fall on your wrist. No more getting up unless someone helps you" said Robin in a brotherly tone. "But I can walk on my own. The only reason I fell was because my body was sore from laying for so long" I replied in a stubborn tone.

"It doesn't matter, please stay in bed" said Robin, crossing his arms. "But it sucks just laying here all day with nothing to do but watch TV, eat, sleep, read, write, and color" I said in a whiny tone. "Sorry Raven, but I want you better as soon as possible. We'll help you walk and such to restore your muscle strength, but for now, let's just stick with the bed, okay?" Asked Robin in a sincere tone. I sighed in defeat. In a way, he was right.

"Okay" I said in a defeated tone. "Thank you Raven. Remember, I'm doing this because I love you" said Robin, rubbing my shoulder. "I know" I replied with a small smile. "Love you sis" said Robin. "I love you too" I said, a real but rare smile on my face. Robin leaned in and kissed my forehead and walked out of the room.

I read more of my book, 'The Emerald Eye' a book about a girl that is walking outside at night and is taken by a Dragon to another world, and discovers he's a man, who falls in love with her, as she falls for him. Together, they safe her world and his from evil. It's very good. I was at chapter 20, when Cyborg and Starfire came in. "Greetings friend, how are you the feeling? Good, yes?" Asked Starfire, hugging me gently.

"Hey Star, I'm great" I said, setting down my book. "So, I have good news and bad news" said Cyborg as he took Star's hand in his robotic one. I imagined it was mine and Beastboy's hands, and I became sad and envious. "Raven!?" Called Cyborg. I snapped out of my trance, looking up at Cyborg from their hands. "Huh?" I asked stupidly.

I felt embarrassed, and I tried to hide the blush that crept onto my cheeks. "Bad news first, or good?" Asked Cyborg. "Good" I replied after I forced the blush from my face. "The good news is you have enough strength in you to heal yourself. The bad news, you can only heal one or the other. Either your hand, or your leg" said Cyborg just as Peyton, Robin, and Beastboy came in. "You told her?" Asked Peyton.

"Yeah" said Cyborg. "So, I can only pick one?" I asked, suddenly upset. "Unfortunately, yes. You don't have enough energy to heal both. If you choose your leg, all your energy will go to your leg. If you choose your hand, you'll have a little energy left to heal some of your leg, but it won't be fully healed" explained Robin. 

"I guess I'll heal my leg first. How long until I have enough energy to heal my hand?" I asked. "Well, after healing your leg, you'll be so tired and sleep at least a day. Then, you'll have to wait at least three weeks" said Peyton. "Three weeks?!?!" I shrieked. "I have to stay like this, for three shucking weeks!?!?!?" (The word 'shucking' came from The Maze Runner, the greatest movie ever, I DEFINITELY recommend watching it).

"I'm afraid so friend" said Starfire in a sad tone. "Are you sure you want to heal your leg? You'll have more energy to heal all of your wrist and some of your leg" said Beastboy. "Yeah, because I can walk with my healed leg, a broken wrist won't be too bad" I said.

"So, who wants the job of helping Raven until she's FULLY healed?" Asked Robin. Everyone's hands shot up at the same time. "I do!" Cried every one in unison. "Raven, who do you want?" Asked Beastboy.

I wanted to say 'you' so bad, but then he would know I'm in love with him, so I replied with "I don't know, your all my friends, I can't pick one". So everyone wrote their name down on a slip of paper, and put it in a hat. Robin shook the hat like crazy and drew a name. Then, my dream came true.  The slump of paper that Robin chose read  Beastboy.
My heart raced, my palms got sweaty, and I felt like I was going to faint. It took every ounce of control in me to contain my powers. Man, you have to be kidding me.

Hey guy's! Chapter six is in the mix! Sorry I haven't written in a while, the internet at my apartment got cut off, and my parents haven't payed the bill yet, so I'm doing the best I can. Well, that's all for now guy's. As always, I love you all, stay beautiful!
