"she teleported ?." I asked for the second time .
"Yeah". Alex said in a confused manner.
"Right.Cause that's a totally normal thing to do" .Mackenzie muttered under her breath.
It was silent for a while mostly because i was to deep in thoughts to strike up another conversation. And Mackenzie was to engrossed in her game of candy crush to care about the silence.
I turned my head to the window and tried to make out our location. But there were no indicators of where we were heading . The only thing i could make out was the thick forest that seemed to stretch out for miles on both side of the highway. The fact that the sun was on its way to setting was not a comfort . Soon it would be dark and i would be unable to tell where we were heading.
I was growing more wary of the situation by the second. Not for me ,no i could take care of myself but Mackenzie was more fragile then i give her credit for. Having dragged her into this situation made me responsible for her.
sighing in impatience i turned away from the window and looked ahead. Catching Mr.Intensity eyes through the rear-view mirror. I Met his unwavering gazing head on ,fed up with this whole situation. After a few seconds of our staring contest he raised one eyebrow and turned away and leaned his head on the passenger window.
I leaned my head back against the headrest and closed my eyes. I was tired ,impatient and cramp in this tight space.
" Ten more minutes"
"Hum?." I raised my head in search of the person talking. I looked back in the rear view mirror and caught the long hair guy glancing at Mr.Intensity. I turned and found him in the same position i left him in before.
"We'll be there in ten more minutes.". He clarified in a clipped tone.
"wake her up in a couple of minutes"
"um yeah .Thanks " i said startled at his sudden strike of conversation.
true to his words the forest got thinner and thinner as we drove. Until i spotted a tall black gate with Veil Manor written across it in bold,gold scripted letters.
I turned towards Mackenzie who was deep in sleep and taped her nose . She swatted my hands and turned her face in the other direction.I pulled lightly at her ears. She jilted up hitting her head on the interior roof of the car . Causing everyone to look back at her
"What?" she wined in a small voice. Embarrassed with her actions.
"where here idiot"
"oh. OK"
just as she said that we pulled up to the gate and the long haired guy cut the engine off and got out the car. Mr.Intensity followed in suit, soon we were all out of the car .
