"I'm back" I yell as I step into the house.

No reply comes.

Mum are you in the kitchen? I yell as I keep walking through the house.

I entered the kitchen but no-one was there. As I attempt to open the fridge I notice a small piece of paper attached to it.It reads:

I will be out late

I had something to handle

P. S:Lunch is in the microwave,you can order Chinese for dinner.

Mom.

I was suprised but seeing that I was tired I quickly go to my room and change. I return to the kitchen and take out the food from the microwave. I'm happy its chicken, so I take out two drumsticks, place them on a plate and head back to my room.

I take a nap but it is soon interrupted by a loud bang on my door.

Sis are you in there? I hear a voice I recognize too well as my brother

"Come on man answer please, I'm starving" My brother keeps yelling.

"I'm up"I quickly say totally pissed from the rude interruption.

I walk to the door and open it.Infront of me stands my brother looking half starved and half pissed

"What"I say

"I've been banging this door for some minutes, and I'm tired and really hungry. So can you please give me something to eat"he asks half plea.

My brother looked so adorable right now with His pale blue eyes he kind of reminded of dad.

Hello?My brother says snapping his fingers bringing me back to the present.

"Oh yeah! Food is in the microwave".I reply

"Thanks"My brother says before walking away.

Finally, some peace and quiet,I say to myself all sleep completely drained from my eyes. With nothing to do and sleep not forthcoming,I decide to call Cody.He had promised to see me after school but He texted me and said He'll be busy after school.Its almost 4pm so I decide to call him.I dial his number and he picks up.

"Hi Cherryblossom",he says

"Hi sweetiepie"I say giggling.Cody and I have these cute pet names for each other.

"So what's up"He says

"Nothing much but I just called in to check on you seeing that you were too busy to hangout with me today"I reply almost sadly.

Eva,you know its not like that. I'll tell you what,you and I the beach this saturday.Take it as a little apology date. Are you in?

"I don't know"I honestly reply.

"Please Eva"I hear him say almost begging.

"Okay, but I'll have to talk to my mum first. You know how protective she is". I say.

"That's cool, just let me know what she says". He says and turns the receiver off.

I lay back on the bed,I turn to look at my alarm clock and see if that its just 4:45pm.I grab my phone and open my wattpad app and start reading my favorite novel "room 234's virgin" by Alexis Thompsons.
