I Need You

*Backstage before their performance*

JUNGKOOK'S POV

"Hyung! What are you doing?! We're up in literally 2 minutes!" I half whispered half shouted at Jin

Jin was literally holding his pink flip phone upwards trying to get a perfect angle for the perfect selfie.

"annndddd... chuuu *winks* *pouts* there... I'm done now okay? Let's just hope she forgives you after this.. " jin put his finally phone back in his pocket.

Suddenly I felt a pair of strong arms around my neck almost suffocating me

"EYYYY IF SHE DOESN'T FORGIVE YOU, YOU'RE MINE ANYWAYS JUNGKOOKIEEEE" Jimin yelled in my ear

I struggled out of his arms and ran to Namjoon for protection

"Yah! HYUNG HELP ME FROM THIS WEIRDO"

"Yah jiminie.. calm down, we're about to go up now. We are the special guest after-all now that we're kind of.. idols. You need to maintain your image." Namjoom scolded Jimin.

Jimin pouted and sighed.

"Fineeee ...."

I peeked at the crowd from backstage and I could see Hyejin from a distance..

Woahh... Holy shit..

That dress... fits her soooo damn well... and her face.. godammnnn... I never seen her look so beautiful in my life.. well she is already beautiful but damn that dress shows her long slender legs and her small waist, I just wanna-

"Uhm.. Jungkook, ya need to calm down, as in down there in your pants cause we're going up now and it'd be quite embarrassing when their attention is down there and not on your apology speech.." suga whispered

"O-oh.. thanks for reminding me.. but I gotta say.. who wouldn't be the same when you look at her?" I pointed towards her direction

"When you look at who-.... woah.." suga's jaw dropped to the floor..

"I know right.." I silently chuckled.

"Okay just think of puppies.. puppies.. cute puppies.. " suga closed his eyes and chanted the random words like unicorns and rainbows..

I guess he was having the same problem as me.

I calmed down of course then headed out on to the stage along with the members.

We formed a line, bowed and said our greeting.

I walked towards the stand and took the mic off the stand and looked at Hyejin in the eye.

Here goes nothing.

"Hello everyone.. I gotta give thanks to everyone who performed today, you all were amazing and outstanding and we enjoyed every bit of it" I looked at all the performers who were now sitting down at their tables waiting for us to perform.

I looked back at Hyejin and took a deep breath

"But before we perform.. I would like to take this chance to sincerely apologize to my most best.. best, best friend in the entire world..

Hyejin.

Hyejin, the times we shared together, I can never forget them. We grew up together and were inseparable.. until recently. I want to apologize for that Hyejin. I was cruel and unfair, I didn't realize how much of a fool I was, to be blind enough not to see how unloyal I was to you as a bestfriend. You deserved better.

I have to admitt myself. I missed us, the way your eyes almost disappear when you laugh, the gentle smile you always gave me, the playful punches you always threatened me with, our fights and our make-ups, our sleepovers and our over-competitive gaming addiction.

I enjoyed the times when we played at the park and we would have our own little picnic under the same tree for years, our names are still carved on that tree trunk you know, our handwriting as kids were quite adorable.

Or the time when we would play 'house' and you were the mother and I was the father. We would have a pretend baby made out of a pillow wrapped in a blanket and we drew a funny face on it. Your mum always scolded you for drawing on it since it was hard to wash out, but you did it anyways. You know.. secretly at that time, I know we were only about 7, but I wished that we would have that life when we grew up."

Her eyes started to water..

"I missed every little thing about you. Our childhood was the best thing that ever happened to me. Your parents always treated me as their own, and your home.. it feels like home to me too.

We started to fall apart, and it's all my fault. I should've spent more time with you and hung out with you more. I'm sorry Hyejin.. okay? I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything.

This performance, is for you. Now I literally was on these guys backs constantly and I made them practice with me for hours upon hours for days and days" I looked back at my members and they nodded in agreement and gave the exhausted expression to hyejin

She giggled and smiled at them

That smile I missed so much..

"I promise to be that bestfriend I should have been and instead of growing apart. We're going to grow strong..

Together.. okay?"

I stepped backwards and motioned the members to get into their position. I made the "okay" gesture to the person in the back to play the music.

This is for you.. my dear Hyejin..

As we finished up we bowed and thanked the crowd and headed backstage.

"Oh my gahhdddd... it's finally over" Hobi panted, he walked to his bag and took out his water, chugging it down.

"Did you see the look on her face? It was as if she was about to cry out of joy" Namjoom stated, suga nodded in agreement and jin came around with towels to dry our sweat.

"Thanks.. thank you all.. I couldn't have done it without all of you" we all group hugged for a while then suddenly let go because we were kind of sweaty and disgusting..

"Can we get changed now? Oh and taehyung can you tie my tie for me, I dunno how the heck bow ties work" jimin went and grabbed his bag along with everyone else.

When we all got dressed into our suit and ties we headed out from backstage and into the crowd.

I couldn't see Eunji anywhere.. she must've went to the bathroom or something..

The guys split up, half of them went to the dancefloor and the others to the food..

I suddenly felt a pair of arms around me from behind. I looked down and I could recognize the small arms and hands wrapped around me.

"..Thank You...

Jungkookie.." she whispered..
She tightened her grip and I could feel her slightly sob.

"I'm sorry too.. I shouldn't have shouted at you.. I shouldn't have thrown you out like that.." she buried her face into my back

"That was the best thing I've seen all day.. thank you.. thank you for everything.. you were amazing out there.."

I didn't even need to turn around to see who it was.. the voice was music to my ears

"Hyejin.."
