{Summer's POV}
     I watch as palm trees fly by on the side of the road. Things are different in Florida. It's hot, obviously it's hot back home in Virginia too but here, in Florida, it's scorching. Moving here isn't a big deal for me because I didn't have anyone to leave back home other than my ex. Trent, my ex, and I still keep in touch but as friends. When you truly think about it, Trent is my only friend. I am completely fine with that.

     My dad pulls up a long paved drive way to our new house. The house itself is pretty but it just doesn't feel like home. We are extremely wealthy but it doesn't make sense because my dad is just a college professor, but hey I'm not complaining. I hop out of the car hoping to see the inside quickly when my dad stops me and makes me carry multiple heavy boxes inside. When I get inside I find the kitchen and practically drop the boxes on to the counter. I'm very eager to see my room because It's most likely where I will be 24/7.  When I reach the top of the stairs I sort of just go where I feel is right because the house is so big. I open multiple doors to rooms and bathrooms until I find mine. The walls are grey with a sky blue accent wall behind my bed. my bed is white with Colorful pillows carefully placed to look sloppy in a cute way. When you walk in there is a white desk to your left with plants, notebooks and a computer placed on top. I investigate my bathroom and closet before opening my window and flopping on my bed. I drift into a heavy sleep as I listen to the sounds of the ocean coming through my window.

     I wake up to the sound of boxes dropping. My dad must still be unpacking, since my nap was cut short and I have nothing better to do I go downstairs to help him. The movers, my dad and I spent hours on the kitchen, dining room, and living room. I am so glad my dad surprised me by already have my room done or I would die from fatigue right now. Once the movers left my dad went out to get take out so I'm staying home and watching tv while I wait for him to get back. I am in the middle of an episode of The O.C. when I hear a bunch of hollering from outside in the neighborhood. I got up to walk to the window to see what the hell was interrupting my quality tv time when I saw it was just a bunch of immature guys my age on skateboards. I go back to my show and turn the volume up over the boys yelling when eventually my dad got home. I ran into the kitchen at full speed ripping open the fried rice container. Most girls would frown upon this but a girls gotta eat, you know?

     after a very filling night of tv and Chinese I kiss my dad goodnight and head to my bedroom. I immediately strip from my sweaty moving clothes and turn on the hot shower water. The water hits my shoulders and it feels fucking amazing. After my shower I pick out some pajamas and lay in bed. There is still a week left till school starts and I have no idea what to do. I'm thinking of stuff when an idea hits me. Tomorrow I'm going to go into town and walk around to try and get to know the area better.

     I'm about to fall asleep but a huge crashing noise comes through my window. I rush over to the window and realize nothing is broken, the noise is coming from outside I just forgot to close my window. I look around a bit trying to figure out what in the world that noise was but my eyes land on the same group of childish boys that interrupted my tv show. This time they weren't  skate boarding but sitting around a fire drinking something I figure is alcohol. No, I'm not going to do anything about it cause I drink too, I'm actually quite fun at parties. I'm not some goodie goodie most people think I am. Even though I don't have many friends, I'm always up for a good time. I shut my window then jump back in bed looking forward to tomorrow.

Sorry it was such a short chapter! They will begin to get longer, this is only my first actual chapter so I'm just getting used to it! thank you for reading, also feel free to correct grammar/punctuation or really anything and leave your suggestions.
