At daylights start our time began,
In a place so bright and new.
With laughter and smiles and joy for us,
We thought this always true.
Then night arose with darkness and fear,
The shadows seep into our skin.
As we age the darkness grows,
And brings out all our sin.
A razor blade against her arm
A pill within his hand.
One wrong word from anyone.
And their life they could disband.
What happened to the young boy,
That saw this cold worlds life.
Tainted and confused,
By depression, stress, and strife.
What happened to the little girl,
Who starred at grass all day.
Seeing all it's beauty,
but now she's gone away.
What happened to the fathers,
Who said they loved their child.
And to all the mothers,
Who looked to their kids and smiled.
The worlds still around us,
Filled with all it's glowing light.
We have to push away the darkness,
And never give up the fight.
To make that little boy or girl,
We used to be inside.
Look into our same eyes,
And see they haven't died.
What happened to the young boy,

What happened to the little girl,

What's made us see this way,
And let the darkness in.
What has taken our lives,
And never let us win.
When we look into the mirror,
Do we see a ghost,
Lost in time and life,
The thing that we fear most.
What happened to the young boy,

What happened to us all
It's time we answer the question
Will we rise, or fall.
