A few weeks have passed since the incident with the Rubies. The tension has been high between Peridot and Lapis, sometimes it made Peridot leave the barn. She was currently working on something on her side of the barn. She heard someone climbing up the ladder and looked over. It was Lapis.
"Hey," Peridot greeted quietly. She went back to working on creating something.
"Hi," Lapis said several seconds later.
Peridot flinched at her voice. This was new. She turned around and looked at Lapis. She didn't look herself, she looked troubled.
"What's up?" Peridot asked hesitantly.
"I... I'm sorry," Lapis said quietly after a few seconds.
"I didn't mean to yell at you, or to break your tape recorder. I was just so mad. You used me, like everyone did! Like how hey trapped me in the mirror to find the rebels, and I wasn't released until Steven came along. I thought this would be my chance to actually be free. To be alone and enjoy the Earth. T-To do what ever I want without being constricted or-or held back. I wanted this to happen, I thought something would go right for once but it didn't!" she said. She clenched her fists and felt a tear roll down her face.
Peridot stared at her. She stood up and walked over to Lapis, and hugged her.
"It's okay, there's nothing to worry about. I may not be the best person, but... I'll help you. We can get through this together," she said.
Lapis smiled.
"Yeah," she said, smiling a little.
Oh gosh. I haven't written anything in forever!! I hope this isn't too bad.
