"She shifted as soon as she could walk." He says, making me gasp. Wolves aren't supposed to shift until they turned sixteen. "How is that even possible?" "I'm not sure. But you can't tell anyone. They might take her away. Even though I'm alpha, there are people that could harm her or take her if they found out. She's special." A tear falls down his cheek but he's quick to wipe it away.
"When do I get to meet her?" I ask.
"Daddy! Daddy! Hurry he's coming!" A little girl stumbles through the door. She looks exactly like Me. He laughs and scoops her up into his arms, making her giggle. A little boy comes running after her. "Hey! No fair!" He laughs. He looks about her age. "Daddy who's that lady?" She points to me. "This is Krissy, Emily. She's daddy's mate." She grins, "hey she looks like me!"She grins. "That's because she's your mommy." Alex smiles.
"Daddy I want mommy!" She squirms in his arms. Alex laughs and hands her to me. Maybe I can be a mom.
"Okay mommy. Will you please play a game with me? We can go run outside!" She cheers. "Alright then." We both run outside, "bye daddy!" She yells to Alex and we both shift.
Her wolf was dark brown with a white spot over one of her eyes. She was so little. It's adorable. My wolf is a light brown color, with a few dark brown spots. She starts yipping and running, wanting me to chase her. I grin and run after her until we reach a small clearing in the woods with a waterfall. It was gorgeous.
We both sit down by the water and start drinking it for a few minutes. We are interrupted by a growl coming from the trees.
'Stay behind me.' I mind link Emily.
'Okay mommy. I'm scared.'
'It's okay.' I sniff the air and find that there are four unfamiliar scents coming from the left.
'Alex hurry. I think we're in trouble. We're at a small clearing in the woods by a water fall.' I mind link Alex.
'Stay where you are. I'm coming.'
He shuts off our connection and I hear another growl. I bark in the direction. The leaves start to rustle and a black wolf comes from behind a tree. He barks at me and I growl back. The wolf runs at me and pins me to the ground, nocking the breath out of me.
'Emily run! Don't look back just go in the direction of the pack house. Now!' I mind link her and she whimpers before scampering off in the direction we came from.
The wolf claws at my face and I whimper. He starts to bend down to sink his teeth into my neck, but just before he can, he is tackled to the ground by a dark brown wolf with a white spot over his eye, just like Emily.
It only takes me a second before I realized it was Alex and watch as he rips his throat out. I hurry to Emily to make sure she is okay. I shift back into my human form and pick up the small, trembling pup and snuggle her. "Shh it's okay. Come on let's go get daddy." We walk over to Alex and I place her in his arms.
"Alex there's more than one. I smelled four." Shit. "I'll tell Dylan to get a patrol ready to find the three of them. For now, let's just go back to the pack house." He moves Emily to his hip and grabs my hand in his free one as we start to walk back.
"Daddy what's that smell?" Emily sniffs the air. Alex frowns, "what is it?" "Daddy let me down!" She demands and he sits her down. She starts to sniff the ground, as she follows a scent. Another small pup comes from the direction she was smelling and both of there eyes light up and they shift back. I gasp, another pup that shifted early?
"Mine!" The little boy growls and runs over to Emily to hug her. "Oh hell no!" Alex picks Emily up. "Daddy stop it! Put me down now!" Her wolfs voice comes from her body. "I'm so sorry alpha. Xavier! Behave yourself! I-I'm sorry for coming into your territory. I come from the blood moon pack. My mate, Xavier and I are trying to escape alpha Mark." A blonde woman comes from the shadows and pulls Xavier into her arms.
A second later a dark brown headed man that looks just like Xavier comes from where the girl had just stepped out from and bows. "Alpha Alex. I'm very sorry to cross your territory. We were being chased by Alpha marks army."
"It's fine. But I would like to talk to you two, you come back to the pack house with us. I understand Xavier shifted, when exactly?"
"The day he learned to walk."
