The petals, they do not wither,
the stem stands tall,
but,
the thing is,
this rose is made out of fragile fibres, and it is frozen into one place.
As if the rose is cemented and never able to to breathe.
she is trapped.
she is trapped in the glass that she is now and forever in, and yet no one,
no one, has ever tried to break her free.
forever a venerable, fragile rose.
if a scratch lands on her translucent skin, she will die.
though she may look pretty glistening in the light,
she, herself will never be able to feel the happiness,
she may see,
she may hear,
but she will never disappear.
what did this sad rose do?
to be trapped in time, but also see the years roll by.
but no matter what.
she will forever be.
