Prologue-Introduction

Hiya! I'm Faris! Your average 14 year old hardcore gamer! I live in a family of four: my mom, dad and younger sister, Noelle. We currently reside in a beautiful village called Ebott Village. I have a best friend name Nikki! She's only the nicest, sweetest, funniest, most compassionate person you'll ever meet! We've been friend for as long as I can remember! We're practically siblings!

Actually were cousins... We just found that out recently...

AND WE WERE SO HYPED ABOUT IT!!!!!

AHEM! ok enough about me! Let's move on shall we? Let's talk about my village.

So Ebott Village is pretty small... but it's extremely beautiful. We're known for our rare and exquisite golden flowers. Oh how they sparkle! Every house has some growing in their yard. I personally keep some in my room so I can admire their beauty.

Another thing we're known for is our mysterious mountain, Mt. Ebott. Our village is positioned RIGHT below it. Legends say that thousands of years ago, monsters lived peacefully on the surface with humans! MONSTERS!!!

kinda hard to believe right? Anyway, one day a war broke out between the two races. The humans were victorious and sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell. Apparently we used magic before. I wonder why we can't we use magic anymore?! So yeah supposedly the "entrance" to the underground is a the top of Mt. Ebott. Legends also say that those who climb the mountain never return. Maybe the monsters captured them and ATE them!

Heh that's ridiculous.

So that's the history lesson for today! Now that you know a bit about me and our history, I can move on with the story!

So summer vacation just started. Finally after months of mind blowing projects and stressing tests we finally get a break. What will I do all summer? Play video games indoors of course! Gamers paradise!

Anyway today is a big day. Nikki and I are having a slumber party. We've been planning this slumber party and like, 2 months or something. We've agreed to have it at my house, and our parents said yes! We have so many things planned. First we're gonna play video games... Ok that's what we're mainly doing... seriously. We're gamers. We don't have anything better to do.

Well after we eat lunch I was thinking we could practice our piano duet together. We've haven't practiced in ages. Oh! The best part of this slumber party is that the day after, we're gonna go hiking on Mt. Ebott! We're gonna prove that the legend is fake. No one is gonna stop us. Our parents are ok with it. They don't believe the legend either. They said they've been there thousands of times. No one at school believes it. The only person I know who believes it is my sister. The poor 12 year old is over thinking again! I'm gonna prove to her. No WE are gonna prove to her. That the legend is fake. We've got nothing to worry about right?
