Love or Loyalty? (Peter Pan Once Upon A Time Fan Fic)

Prologue

This is my first OUAT fan fic. I'm not sure how this is going to go but the idea popped into my head and I wanted to give it a shot. So let me know what you think, constructive criticism is welcome. Enjoy.

Prologue

I was sitting on the beach when I heard. Peter was the one who told me. "They've found him. The owner of the heart of the truest believer is coming."

I turned from the water to face him. "I thought we agreed you were going to drop that search. That you would only bring boys to Neverland  if  it was to their benefit."

Silence.

"So you lied." A statement, not a question.

"I had to say what you needed to hear to back off."

"Back off? So you lied and kept up this search behind my back. That doesn't sound like someone who always keeps his promises."

Pan stepped closer, reducing the space between us to mere inches. "Maybe I'm doing this for us."

I raised my eyebrows. "As romantic as that sounds, how does saving magic benefit us? In my opinion we could get by just fine without it."

"This island runs on magic Emily, if magic dies this island dies with it."

I wasn't completely sold on that story, I could tell there is still something he wasn't telling me. But I still felt a flicker of panic. If the island died I would die with it.  After much consideration I said, "So your defense for breaking one promise was that you were doing it to keep another?"

He gave his trademark sly grin. "I lined up my priorities and decided that having you mad is better than having you dead."

He finally got me to crack. I smiled and kissed him. "So this truest believer. Who is he? And when is he getting here?"

"He should be here by tomorrow. His name is Henry. His mother is the Savior from the Evil Queen's curse, daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming." He got a little dramatically sarcastic by the end of the explanation.

But I had stopped listening. When I came to Neverland I was told the story of the Evil Queen's curse and the Savior. I knew this Savior's name, Emma Swan. But what Peter and the other Lost Boys didn't know is that I knew her. The reason I was alone enough to become Neverland's first Lost Girl was because she had gone to Storybrooke with her son.
