"So, how are you doing today, Daring?" Rosabella asked, sitting down across from Daring in the library.
"A bit better, I suppose. I didn't lose it whenever I saw Apple today," Daring said.
Rosabella nodded. "That's good. We're making a little progress. Nice job," she said, smiling.
The two sat talking in the library for a half hour. As they stood up to leave, Daring thanked Rosabella. Rosabella smiled at him. Daring kept staring at her, his eyes not leaving hers. Rosabella's heart skipped a beat. She blushed and looked away.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow, Daring," Rosabella said, pushing her glasses up her nose, nervously. She picked up her books and hurried out of the library.
When she arrived at her dorm, she placed her books on her desk, and hung her purse up. Darling was on her bed, polishing a piece of her armor. She looked up as Rosabella entered.
"Hi Rose! What have you been up to?" Darling asked.
"I, well I, I've been in the library," Rosabella said. She didn't want anyone knowing about her and Daring's meetings, for fear they'd get the wrong idea. She and Daring were most definitely not dating. And if Duchess or Blondie heard, rumors would spread like wildfire.
Darling nodded at her, then turned back to her armor, rubbing furiously at a smudge on it. Rosabella giggled.
"What? It needs to be spotless!" Darling exclaimed, holding it up to the light to examine it better.
"Why? So you can impress Chase more?" Rosabella teased. Darling grunted and threw a rag at Rosabella's head. Rose squealed and ducked out of the way.
Rosabella grabbed the novel she'd been reading and reclined on her bed, opening to where she'd left off. She couldn't focus on the words though. Her mind kept wandering to Daring and what else she could do to help him. Then a mental image of him appeared in her mind. Rose shook her head to clear her thoughts. She was here to help him, not swoon for him.
She sighed as he flashed before her eyes again. She was hopeless.
AN: this took waaaay too long to update, and I sincerely apologize. I've been so focused on This Is Who I Really Am. Btw, this book is now entered in the #eahwattyawards2016 . Typically it's only three books, but Dreaaaaaaa_ made an exception this time only since the Darabella category was just recently added. So yeah, here's chapter two, finally!
