Wills pov"What!?" Pure heartbreak seeped into my voice.
"It's been two days since he disappeared and nobody told me! I just assumed he went to go see Hazel! Thats what he told me! Gods, I can't get a break, can I!?" I had just gotten on a break from working all night in the infirmary and all I wanted to do was catch up with my boyfriend... BUT NO! He just had to disappear!
"Calm down Will. We have search party's looking for him as we speak! We will find Nico." Chiron's voice was calm. I needed to compose myself.
"Okay... Okay. What can I do to help?" I said taking deep breaths to calm my erratic heart beat.
"For now, all we can do is wait. Keep yourself busy and let the searchers do their jobs." I have to admit that I was a little bummed out that I couldn't help with anything.
"Okay, fine. Tell me if they find anything." I told Chiron. He gave me a polite smile and a wave before I walked out the door of the big house.
I knew that I was needed in the infirmary and that I was the most qualified doctor there but, my legs took me somewhere else.
I was so deep in thought that I nearly banged into the door of my cabin. My face had stopped merely inches from the spruce door. That was a close one.
As soon as I entered the cabin, I slumped onto the bed and started to stare up at the ceiling. I just needed to do some thinking... Ugh I sound like Annabeth.
When was the last time I had seen him?
What did he last say to me?
Did his disappearance have to do with the gods?
Questions flooded my brain. Truthfully, I had none of the answers. Looking around the room for anything that could help me, I spotted a fountain. I didn't know why I felt like it was so important. All it could do was produce mist for Iris messages. Iris messages... IRIS MESSAGES! How could I have been so stupid!
I ran to my book bag and dug around, my hands grabbing a large bag of golden dranchmas. Perfect! I ran to the fountain as fast as I could. To my brothers and sisters I probably looked like some crazed lunatic.
"Hey, Fleecy do me a solid! Show me Nico di Angelo!" My voice echoed through the almost-empty cabin. The mist shimmered and showed me something utterly terrifying.
Nico sat unconscious in a metal chair, his hands in tight handcuffs. The space around him was dark and the only light in the room was a desk lamp. It shone directly into Nico's eyes.
Although the room was dark, I could make out a table in a small, white room. There was also a wide window on the right and a door on the left.
My boyfriend started to stir, his eyes fluttering. He kept his eyes shut so as to block out the blinding light.
Nico jumped up when the door creaked open suddenly and in came his captor.
"For another five minutes, please insert another golden dranchma."
"ARE YOU ACTUALLY KIDDING ME!?" I screamed. I was so close.
Fumbling through the bag, I threw in another dranchma.
Now, this was kind of anti-climactic because it literally did nothing. Something or someone was blocking the connection. I had to fight back tears.
