"Isadora, get off your phone. We're almost to the house and you've never been to America before so enjoy it." said my mum.

"But mum, I'll have plenty of time to enjoy it because like you said, this is our new home."

"You could at least pretend to be excited. Look at how happy your brother Jake is."

Jake is seven and couldn't be happier about leaving England and coming to Maryland.

"Oh look, we're here."

"That's a really big house for just three people." I commented.

"I know it's big, but I got a really good deal for it. It has a large backyard and there's even a river that you can swim in."

"Wow, really? That sounds great."

As I get out of the car I notice two girls doing gymnastics in the front yard of the next house over. A boy is holding a camera and filming them.

I make sure I have my phone and grab my bag before I head inside.

"I hired an interior designer to come and make sure everything was set up. Your rooms are upstairs and mine is downstairs."

I quickly run upstairs and find my room directly at the top of the stairs. I walk in and everything has been set up. My walls are a light blue and I have dark wood floors. I change into my black lulu lemon leggings and lime green tank top.

I go downstairs to the kitchen and grab a granola bar. Right as I'm finishing my snack the doorbell rings. I open it and the three kids I saw earlier along with two adults are there.

"Hi," says the person that I assume is the dad, "we're your neighbors. I'm Billy, but you can call me Mr. Billy."

"I'm Katie, but you can call me Ms. Katie."

"I'm Caleb, and I just turned thirteen last month," says the boy.

"I'm Hayley and I'm six," says the little girl.

"I'm Julianna, but I go by Annie and I'm ten," says the girl with brown hair.

"I'm Isadora," I say.

Just then my mom comes to the door with Jake. "Oh hi, are you are neighbors? I'm Lucy and this is Jake, he's seven."

"We just wanted to come and say hi. Would you like to come over for dinner?" asks Mr. Billy.

"Of course. What time should we come over?" replies my mum.

"It's three right now, but you can come over and hang out if you would like."

"I have to take care of some stuff, but Jake and Isadora can go."

"Bye mum. I'll see you later," I say.

"Bye, have fun."

My mum closes the door behind us and the LeBlanc family leads us to their house.

Hayley immediately runs to the backyard with Jake.

"I have to go to baseball practice, I'll see you guys later," says Caleb before he leaves.

"Isadora, do you have any social media?" asks Annie.

"Yeah, why?"

Ten minutes later Annie and I are following each other on Instagram and have tagged each other in a photo.

"Wait, how does my photo already have 10 000 likes? And how do you have almost one million followers?"

"We have a YouTube channel called Bratayley that has over one million subscribers."

"Really? That's brill."

"What?"

"Oh, brill is short for brilliant."

"Want to go on the trampoline?"

We run outside and get on the trampoline.

"Isadora, what activities do you do?"

"I play volleyball and I do musical theater and dance."

"Have you ever done gymnastics?"

"Yeah, I used to do it when I was little, but now I only do it when I have acro."

"What skills can you do?"

Before I know it, it's dinner time.

Mr. Billy had made crab which was delicious. After dinner my mom, Jake and I all went home.

"Goodnight mum. Goodnight Jake."

"Goodnight Isadora."

I walked up the stairs to my room and changed into my pajamas. I crawled under the covers and immediately fell asleep.
