As we pulled into the parking lot of our new apartment complex, I thought to myself that this was out tenth time moving in eight months. Hoping this time I get to stay. Tomorrow I will be starting Carlton Academy. The only bright side was my childhood best friend, Brittany. It's been years since we seen each other, minus the unfortunate event that happened a few months ago. She's supposed to be helping us when we get there with unpacking and settling in to the apartment, that whoever knows how long will be my home. I wish for once we get to stay in one place and not move around anymore"Hey stranger. Long time no see. I missed you so much. How have you been?", she eagerly said while swallowing me in a bear hug
"I've been better just tired of moving around all the time. I missed you too. We so got to hang out before school." , I said excitedly.
"Aliyah, darling where did you put that box for the kitchen at? I can't find it. Hurry up now girls I want to be moved in before Christmas." , my mother asked from the doorway.
"It's probably in the truck mother. We were just catching up some, so don't get your panties all in a twist. Let's go unload before she comes back." I laughed halfheartedly at my mothers attempt to get us to move faster.
Sure enough there the kitchen box was sitting exactly in the truck where I left it, after seeing Brittany. I reached for the box and turned around quickly immediately crashing into a hard chest. Though the sun blinded his face, I knew I would see him again tomorrow at school.
"You know when you bump into someone the proper thing to do would be to say I'm sorry or excuse me.", the voice said looking down at me.
"Aliyah hurry up with that box before your mother comes out here." , Brittany yelled from the spot previously held by my mother.
With that I nodded to the stranger and hurriedly went inside. We were unpacking for hours until we dropped from being tired, ordered some pizza then decided to call it night. Staring up at the ceiling with the the stars dancing outside the window I slowly drifted off to sleep dreaming of what's to come.

The next day went exactly how Brittany said it would. We were put in the same class, though I didn't sit with her. Instead I sat in the back of the class, with my supposed to be partner missing. It was cool though I didn't feel like talking to him or anyone, especially starting in the middle of the semester. I sat silently doing the work I was assigned for today, when I felt eyes looking at me. I turned my head slowly as if scared to move under the direct glaze of the stranger.
"So first you bump into my and don't apologize and now you sit at my desk and not ever bother to tell me good morning and answer my question. This generation and their manners.", the stranger hissed at me.
"Excuse me, but if I'm not mistaken you are part of this generation and my manners are good. Unlike yourself who has been staring since you sat down, and this is the only seat that was left hence is why I was assigned this seat. Now if you have-", I broke off as I looked up at him.
"A girl who talked back. Well I guess its a step up from the last one. My name is Tyler Meyer. Its nice to meet you, Aliyah."
"I wish I could say the same for you Tyler.", turning back to my work rolling my eyes
Lunch couldn't come fast enough for me to get away from the ass. The bell ranged and I gathered my stuff headed for the door where Brittany stood already waiting for me smiling. Walking to the lockers we practically threw the books in and hurried off to get some food. Today they served pizza and fries with it being Monday. Brttiany lead the way to the table. Its was set up to face the whole cafe and sitting right next to the window.
