I enter my economics class and I take a seat at my desk. I'm so glad that econ is only one semester and only seniors have to take them. Thankfully my teacher is entertaining. He's a smart ass, but you decently learn in his class. He gives you real life situations so later on in life you'll know what to do. Like how to pay taxes, how to nail a job interview, stuff like that.
I'm still a couple minutes early. Well... 30 minutes early. But that's fine with me. I get to chill and sometimes catch up on homework that I didn't do.
Since my teachers are lazy and don't really assign that much homework, I do the usual. Pull out my phone and go on social media.
I go on Facebook. God, I've had that thing since I was in 9th grade. Most of the people I have on there started off with just some previous classmates. Now it's just mutual friends that I have seen around the high school or just random strangers from the school.
I have about 1,301 friends on Facebook. I'm not surprised that 12 of the people I have on facebook are actually people I hang out with and communicate with almost everyday.
Marisa used to be a part of our group. But when shit went down between me, Raquel, and her. The entire group pretty much decided to black list her. Literally. She's not invited to any of our parties, any of our houses, and not invited to hang out with us. That's what happens when you double cross the two biggest chismosas of the group. We tell everyone that is in the group and they all took our sides. Some people in the group at first tolerated her. Sure, she wasn't the favorite person in the group, no one really is, but they decided to give her a chance.
Aaron hated her in the beginning. Still does. If anything, he hates her more now. At first, we didn't really know why he hated her. But then we did. Aaron thought that she was pretty annoying and loud. But he didn't really say much because at the time, majority of us in the group tolerated her. But we all got the vibe that he didn't like her; even she herself got the vibe. He started to dislike her even more when she would bring her fucking drama with her stupid and dumbass ex Jason into the group.
God, Jason. I hate that kid. He's a fucking abusive asshole. He didn't hit her or anything, but he was definitely mentally abusive. Any time him and Marisa would get into an argument, and even thought it was his fault (like when he flirted with other girls while he was with her), he would always shit on her to make her believe that every argument they had was her fault. I've even told her 'Marisa, if I found out my boyfriend was flirting with other girls too, I would bitch him out and I would not feel guilty about it.' But even when I told her that, she still disagreed with me and said it was still her fault. He would even threaten to commit suicide when she would want to break up with him, pretty much trapping her in the situation. Look, I'm against people committing suicide. If someone is trying or thinking about committing suicide, I would help them as much as I can and help them get help and cope. But if you're threatening to commit suicide in order to trap a person, then just go ahead and do it. There'll be one selfish person in the world. I know, what I said sounds pretty fucked up and considered controversial, but it's honestly how I feel. I hate people that are scum and treat other people like shit. The world needs less people like that. Plus, there are also a lot of other people in the world that think or attempt of committing suicide for more bigger reasons. Not to mentally fuck people up and give them an ultimatum and trap them in an mentally abusive relationship. And now, the both of them still talk. She can do whatever she want with that. It's not my life, so I can't tell her what to do with it. But in my opinion, it's pretty dumb. K, keep associating with the person that put you through hell. Don't try to convince me he's a good person. Once an abuser, always an abuser in my eyes. I've seen too many people close to me go through that shit so you got fucked up if you think you can try to convince me that he's a good person.
I hear my economics teacher Mr. Hart come in and put his stuff on his desk.
"Alright guys, so this is how it's going to go down." Mr. Hart informs us.
"When you walk into this room, it is not a classroom, this place here is your job. I will be teaching you real life examples of the real world. So, that being said, your first project is your interview with me."
I hear everyone groan with despair. I've heard of the infamous interview. Literally he acts like it's a legit job interview. You're only an employee of his "company" when you pass the interview. And the class won't starts until EVERYONE has passed their interviews. Oh well. Guess I should have seen this coming in senior year.
An hour later, the bell rings and it's time for 2nd period. Mr. Hart just kept on going on the whole day about how his class is going to work and what to expect from him and what he expects from us. Now it's second period and I have calligraphy. That doesn't sound that bad. It's just writing words all fancy right? Shouldn't be that hard. I walk into the class and see everyone has already been grouped into the tables. I'm the odd one out. Great.
"Hey, Maria! Over here!" I hear coming from the back of the class.
I look and I see my friends Danny and Melissa sitting together. A wave of relief rushes towards me. I rush to them and sit down. Finally some people I know in this class. Majority of the others in the class already seemed like they had known everyone else, so I wouldn't want to disturb them and come out of nowhere.
"What classes do you guys have?" I ask them as I sit down at my desk.
Danny and Melissa both pass me their schedule. I look and I see that they have this class with me and also psychology and Japanese.
"Nice. We have three classes together. We can all walk together over there." I say as I pass their schedules back to them.
"Yep. And 6th period, I have wrestling again." Danny says with a smile.
Danny has been in the wrestling team since sophomore year. They didn't have wrestling when we were freshmen because the school didn't have the funding. But I guess the summer going into sophomore year, they got some funding and now they have the team together again.
Our class begins and our teacher introduces herself. Her name's Ms. Kim. She says she's been doing calligraphy for a while. She also says that our class is going to consist of projects. She then says that we're going to need to buy calligraphy pens. And that's it. Literally that's all she said and then she said that we have free time. This class is going to be an easy A. After she finishes talking, we all just chill in class and wait for the next bell to ring to go into nutrition.
