The World We Saw Behind Our Eyes

There is no such thing as a perfect world

It only exists in our wildest dreams

The dreams we hold on to can only get crushed further if we blind our sight with the harsh reality that stands before us

If only reality knew the kind of pain that shattered our souls, then maybe give us a chance to live the life we long to live before we were born

But there is no control on the life we are given

No life will ever be the same

Behind these walls were the nightmares that we were never prepared to live through

Doors never opened for us to come into peace

We had to be locked out from all the calm silence

To feel the incoming thunderstorms that no one ever expected

Under our skin is another layer we cover to hide the mind of another world only we knew

Little did we know that we were brought into the hands of the unknown tragic

If everything was meant to be broken, then where is the part where we get fixed?

Will we ever feel found again after feeling lost for so long that no one can remember?

Remembering and forgetting are what we battle through our minds just to get through

If there was a bigger world out there meant for us, how would we know?

How can we tell by the waters that hide behind our eyes, the blood that refuses to bleed, and the heart that can longer hold another pierce of gravity?

If we were meant to stand on the jagged ground before us, then maybe there will never be an end to all the destructive mishaps

The answers will never be found through our constant questions of confusion

We only understood the world as humans

Walking through the cracks that has left us cold with hopelessness was the world we saw behind our eyes
