10:46 p.m.
Akaashi and Bokuto sat in the departure lounge, waiting for the call for their airplane. Bokuto kept shifting positions, clearly getting antsy.
Bokuto checked his phone. "Hey, Akaashi?"
"Yeah, Bokuto-san?"
"Shouldn't our plane be here? We were supposed to leave at 10:30." he said.
Akaashi simply replied with, "Be patient, Bokuto-san. We'll be on our way to Italy soon enough, alright?"
Bokuto huffed, and crossed his arms as he sunk in his seat. "Fine. . ." he pouted.
The main reason Bokuto was so eager is because he was finally going on vacation with his boyfriend ever since high school. After months of planning and even longer for saving up, they managed to have enough money to pay for a trip to Italy.
"Italy is the city of romance!" Bokuto had pointed out.
"Bokuto-san, Italy is a country. . ."
Bokuto chuckled quietly to himself at the exchange of words with Akaashi earlier that day.
11:24 p.m.
"Okay, what the hell?" Bokuto grumbled. Their plane still hadn't arrived and he was becoming even more irritated than before.
"Should I go look for someone?" Akaashi asked. Bokuto shook his head.
"No, because what if you leave and they call for our flight?"
Almost as if on cue, a ding was heard.
"Good evening. We're terribly sorry for the wait, but there seems to be a delay on the flight B38. The expected waiting time is 1 hour. Thank you for your cooperation."
Another ding was heard, followed by a frustrated growl.
"Ugghh! One hour?! What the hell is going on?! I may as well fly there by myself!"
Akaashi was getting upset, too. "This is such a pain. . ." he muttered. The younger male turned towards Bokuto. "An hour isn't that long. We'll just. . . do something to pass the time, I guess."
Bokuto's eyes light up. "I think I may have an idea. . ." he smirked.
11:32 p.m.
Bokuto watched intensely as Akaashi's fingers tapped the iPhone screen while making that stupid yellow bird that he could never get past 28 pipes, get through them.
Akaashi accidentally hit a pipe because of bad timing, but he still got a 39. He looked at Bokuto with a smug smile.
"Boom. Beat that" he smirked.
Bokuto cracked his fingers. "Fine. If I beat your score, you have to buy me a pizza in Italy."
"Fine." he smirked. Akaashi knew Bokuto never got past what Akaashi got. He saw the notification saying he beat Bokuto's record.
"Get ready to flap, Flappy Bird. . ." he grinned.
