The young Osh-Tekk, Ko'atal was made emperor not even a week later.

The ceremonies were short, given some traditions were thrown aside due to the new Kahn being technically a usurper. However, it was clear that Kotal was much more beloved than Mileena Kahnum. Outworld's people welcomed the change.

And, in the spirit of change, the new emperor decided that the reign of conquerors and suppressors was over, and decided that all trace of then should be eliminated.

It began with the interior of the palace. All statues, busts, and paintings that bared the figure of Shao Kahn or his artificial daughter were immediately shattered and burned. One sculpture of Mileena was taken into the streets of Outworld for the people to do what they wish. The first day, no one dared touch it. The second day, it was reduced to rubble.

It was during this purge that we find Kintaro, wandering the now empty halls yet to be filled with Osh-Tekk and Mayan honoring decor. The Shokan, in the past was a famous warrior of Shao Kahn, so of course, he'd be one of the first to have his loyalties questioned. However, his trial was short and he was able to easily talk his way into safety. After pledging loyalty to the new Kahn, he was free to roam around as he pleased, technically still a member of the emperor's royal guard.

He was utilizing his freedom to search through the halls of the palace, searching for anything worth something; sentimental or monetary. So far his search had let to naught, finding nothing but torn carpets and stone rubble. It wasn't until he searched the lower levels of the palace that he found something worth mention.

Not that it was valuable in any sense of the word. What Kintaro found was similar to that of a stomach lining, soaked in slime and gods know what else. The Shokan dared to pick it up, and found it to be long like a serpent's shedded skin and thoroughly dampened with a mysterious liquid. He growled at the mysterious substance before dropping it back on the ground where he found it.

It didn't take much genius to know that the substance came from some sort of lifeform, but this was clearly from no creature that he knew about. Curiosity led him to search for the source of the substance. His search led him deeper and deeper into the palace's catacombs following a slight slime trail.

It wasn't until he was deep in what was once Shang Tsung's flesh pits that his search finally bore fruit. The walls of the pits were never spotless or even unmarred, but the Shokan was certain that the deep scratches that marked the walls were new. Humming to himself, he continued searching.

The scratches continued down the pits in what looked like a random pattern. Most looked like slashes from a creature's claws while others looked almost gashes from a bladed weapon. At this realization, Kintaro decided to exercise caution. He was on guard from there on.

He was never what one would call a coward; he was undoubtedly one of Outworld's greatest fighters. However, the fur on the back of his neck rose as he sensed another presence in the pits.

He raised all four of his fists and spun in a slow circle, looking for anything out of the ordinary; more than likely it was a stray construct attempting to grab him. However, at a low hiss, he snapped his neck to the right. That was not a construct, or at least not one he knows about.

Even his feline eyes could find nothing in the shadows of the pits, but Kintaro was not about to say that the hiss was just his imagination. The sound of scurrying feet confirmed that he was not alone.

He turned and walked towards the sounds, but found nothing but a bare wall with more claw marks. Looking closer, however, he noticed that the markings gradually got higher and higher on the wall. He followed the scratches upwards with his eyes. Eventually, his gaze met a small gap between the stone wall and ceiling, where he found the little intruder

The Shokan barely had time to register the black creature's form before it pounced on him. He caught it in his arms and threw it to the side in disgust, quickly learning that the creature was coated in a layer of sticky slime. It landed on all fours and slowly rose to two feet.

The intruder was huge-- not as big as Kintaro, but tall nonetheless. It was entirely black, and its flesh looked more like an exoskeleton than actual skin. Its claws were visible on its humanoid hands, and it had a long tail that ended with a spike. What captured his attention most, was the beast's huge head, shaped like long, smooth bean and possessing a fanged mouth, similar to a Tarkatan's.

"Begone, creature," Kintaro demanded, "You do not belong here." He flexed his four arms, trying to intimidate the intruder.

The beast only responded in opening its mouth wide and hissing loudly at him. It seemed as though the creature had another mouth inside of its gaping maw. How revolting.

"If you will not decease," he announced getting into a fighting stance, "then prepare yourself for kombat." The creature dashed at him without hesitation.

Kintaro swung a hefty fist at the creature's massive head, but it ducked under the blow and climbed onto his back. He quickly slammed his back into a wall, crushing the creature between fur and stone. It slumped to the ground screaming but recovered quickly and stood up full height in front of him.

The beast ran towards Kintaro, hands reaching outwards. Kintaro stopped it by breathing a gust of fire in the creature's face. He laughed as it futilely swatted at the blaze. He then grabbed it by the neck and lifted it into the air.

"You should have known better, cretin," he said as it tried to escape his grip. He used his other three arms to deliver a barrage of punches into the creature's stomach. "You should not have dared challenging KintAHH!" He roared as a bladed tail sunk into his thigh. He quickly threw the beast away from him and looked at the deep, bloody hole in his leg. Red blood stained his orange fur.

When the enraged Shokan looked up to glare at his opponent, he saw nothing but the stone walls of the pits. He spun around on his injured leg, growling with pain, but still saw nothing. Impossible! The creature could not just disappear.

He heard the sound of footfalls behind him, but before he could turn around, he felt two stabs in his back. He looked down to see two black blades poking out of his stomach. The blades were sharply pulled out and he was spun around with surprising ease. The creature looked at him with an eyeless face as all the strength left the once great Kintaro.

Before he could smell the alien's slime-ridden breath, he felt a piercing pain in his forehead, and everything disappeared into blackness.

Alright, so that happened.

Remembered that it'd probably be important to mention that I don't own Mortal Kombat or the Alien series. It'd be cool though.

Lemme know what you guys think of the story and what you think is going to happen next. You never know, you may be right.
