The Question

It was an hour before dinner and we had to reach home before our parents got worried. But we were enjoying each other's company so much I did not wish to return.

It was strange, this feeling. It was not attraction. Yet it was something much, much more powerful. Desperately looking for an answer, I put this question before her. The expression on her face changed. From happy to thoughtful. 'Can we go back?' she asked. 'Okay' I said.

We both went back home and had a delicious dinner. After that, she said 'I feel the same way, yet I don't have an answer to your question.'

I replied 'I suppose we will have to find out ourselves.' And before we realised, we were staring in each other's eyes perhaps trying to find the answer and ended up finding it right in front of us.
