Chapter 4: The New Co-worker

(JUNGKOOK P.O.V)

I walk into work, at the café, as usual and threw on my apron about to help the customer at the register when I hear my boss call me. I walk to the back where his office is and I bow to my boss and then to the other man in the room, I assume he is my dongsaeng (A/N dongsaeng: means younger brother in korean for the readers who aren't familiar with korean terminology) and I bow to him as well. I'm not gonna lie though, he was very attractive.

"Jungkook, I would like to introduce you to our new rookie barista, Park Jimin. I would like you to teach him all the ropes and the dos and don'ts of being a rookie at our fine establishment." my boss said to me with a smile from ear to ear on his face.

I walk over to Park Jimin and introduce myself formally introduce to my dongsaeng.

"My name is Jeon Jungkook and I am the head barista. It is very nice to meet you and I hope we work together well. By the way, how old are you?" I ask as I guide him out of the office and we start to get to work. I, being the head barista, start taking an order and making the customer's caramel macchiato.

"Nice to meet you Jungkook, I'm Park Jimin but you can call me Jimin. And to answer your question, I am 20 years old." I look at him shocked that he looks so young yet he is 2 years older then I am.

"Wow, I thought you were younger than me. I guess I should call you hyung instead because it turns out you are actually 2 years older than me." I said to him as I was finishing the customer's caramel macchiato. "Here is your Caramel Macchiato. Enjoy and please come again" I said to the customer with a smile on my face.

"Yeah, I also get that a lot, guess you could say its because of my baby face" he said looking extremely cute,

"Or maybe it's just because your extremely short for your age." I said to him. When he heard what I said, his eyebrow twitched.

"I also get that i'm extremely short a lot as well. HEY! Don't disrespect your hyung! Its rude!" Jimin said looking really disrespected. I didn't mean to hurt his feelings, I was just playing around.

"I'm sorry hyung, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. How about I treat you to my special caramel macchiato. I hear its the best tasting coffee in Seoul. I have never tried it but its a big hit here." I said to Jimin sincerely and he just smiled.

"I would love a coffee. How about after our shift ends we have a coffee and just sit and get to know each other since we will be working together a lot." Jimin said with an eye smile and I swear it was the cutest thing I have ever seen.

"Sounds like a plan to me. Are you new around here though? Like new to Seoul?" I asked him because his voice sounded really distinct.

"I am new here. I came from Busan. Its beautiful there if you have never been. They have such beautiful sights to see and its just breathtaking." Jimin said.

"I am actually from Busan as well. Your right, the sights there really are breathtaking. Have you ever seen how the ocean looks at night when the only light there is the moon? If not, I suggest you go see it." I said to him as he looked at me in amazement that I was from the same hometown as him.

"I will definetly have to check it out sometime. When I visit my mom I will take her to see it. She looks sightseeing and its something she enjoys extremely." Jimin said looking at me with awe because I just gave him the best sight to see in Busan with his mom.

"Well, our shift is over. Let me make you that coffee." I said as I watched him take off his apron and sit at the bar as I make him his coffee. As the coffee starts brewing I feel my phone buzz. Its a text from Tae.

Tae: Hey, when are you getting home? I have been practicing that game all day and i wanna beat your butt at something for once because you always win!

Me: I will be coming home late actually. I am having a coffee with my new rookie barista. He is my hyung so I offered him my famous caramel macchiato.

Tae: Oh, okay. Can you bring me one of your famous americanos please kookie?

Me: Of, course. Anything for my TaeTae!

Tae: Yay! I'm just gonna get caught up on my favorite drama at the moment until i get home.

Me: What drama are you gonna watch?

Tae: It's a drama called Bromance. Its a Taiwanese drama and its so good. You should watch it.

Me: I will. I'll text you when I'm on my way home. I'll be home with your americano in about an hour and a half.

Tae: Okay. Wait! An hour and a half is like only enough time to watch one episode. lol Have fun and don't stay out to late.

Me: Enjoy watching one episode of that drama because when i get home i am totally gonna beat you but at that game.

I look at the coffee that is done brewing and see that it is perfect. I look at Jimin as he observes my technique for making coffee.

"Your so good at your job." Jimin said in awe as he saw me pour his coffee in the cup with such precision that it was just a work of art to pour coffee into a cup.

"Thank you. I have been making coffee since i was 16 so I guess I AM the head barista for a reason. Let me know how you like it." I start making Tae's americano and all I hear from Jimin is him setting the coffee cup down after one sip. He was literally in heaven. Guess I AM the barista master.

"I guess you like it?" I said as i saw him basically burn his tongue almost devouring the coffee along with the cup.

"OH MY JUNGKOOKIE! This is the best coffee I have ever had in my life and the coffee in Busan is pretty good. But yours, oh my gosh, its so good." He said. I was really surprised when he called me Jungkookie because usually only Taetae calls me that.

I still like Tae and I respect him so much. I don't him to think anything is happening with this Jimin hyung. I really like Tae and I really can't afford to loss right now. I'm there for him and I don't know if he knows this but I need him so much more than he knows me. He is the one person that has never talked behind my back or back stabbed me or hated on me for liking guys. If anything, he was the only person I could tell I was gay. He is really a true friend and I can't loss him.
