As if I wasn't terrified enough, I abruptly stop crying, causing me to become visible. I see a man dressed in what looks like a black cop costume. He starts to walk towards my house. I walk behind the tree and crouch behind it as I watch him look through what is left of my house.

The sky is dark grey, but the light is abundant which confused me because this officer was looking with a flashlight.

I feel something crawl down my hand and it was a spider. I shake it off in a panic. I hate spiders so much. As I shook my hand I arose some rustling of debris causing the officer to turn around for a second. I felt my veins go cold as my hiding place was almost revealed.

I haven't known abut these powers for long, but what if he is out to get me and he is apart of the government? I watch as he steps inside of my house and shuffles around. He walks over to my kitchen and turns on the sink. Weird, but at least my water works. He walks over to the right into what was my living room and picks up my mom's expensive tiara. I used to keep it on my shelf and it is made out of pure gold. She used to do beauty pageants as a child and she grew up in a very wealthy neighborhood where she won it.

I can't sit here and let him take it. I have to do something... I look around frantically and I see a large stick that has fallen. I pick it up and proceed with caution over to the cop who, to my surprise, has began to exit the house with the tiara in hand. A cop stealing from a broken home?

I ease up on him, not invisible. I wish I was though, but as hard as I try, whenever I am afraid, I can't turn. I'm not sure if it's as much as fear, then as panic.

I proceed with caution up behind him and I am now at least a foot away. Right as I prepare to swing and hit him on the head, I step on a picture frame, and it shatters. He snaps around, pulling out his gun.

I now have my useless stick raided his with my left hand out in front of me in a desperate attempt to try and keep myself safe. He keeps his gun pointed straight to my top red flannel button.

"Put your weapon down." I manage to croak out, my voice crackling with fear.

"You're coming with me, Miss." He grabs me by my arm then twists it behind me and holds me like that. I'm in searing pain. My arm tendons re literally going to rip.

"Let go of me!" I scream in a desperate plea. I take my other arm that was limp by my side and barely grab his tazer out of his belt and shock him to the ground. I watch him fall and yell in pain. I notice a large scar across his neck as he stretched back in fourth in pain.

I grab the tiara and run. I run and run as fast as I can. I run straight pass my tree and into the woods. I run so fast that my chest starts to tighten up.

I am running, but within a moments notice, I get pulled to the ground, tackled by behind by the officer. He is now on top of me. He flips me over and pins me down by the wrists. I stare into his eerie green eyes, as his tick brown hair whips to the side.

"Identify yourself!" He demands yelling into my face.

I turn my head flinching my face to the side.

"I said identify yourself!" He insisted even louder.

I began to cry out of pure fear. You're probably thinking, dang thing girl cries a lot, but I'm pinned to the ground by an officer, and I have no way of escape!

Just as the first tear falls down my right cheek, I turn.

The officer immediately shoots up and screams in terror, dropping his gun out of his belt along with other objects.

I turn back because I stopped crying. SO many mixed emotions are running through me right now.

I pick up the gun, trembling, and point it at him.

"Who are you!" I demand, my voice barely speaking.

With his hands up the man replies, "My name is Liam, Klein. I work at department 432. Please, please don't hurt me!"

I put the gun at ease to my side, my body still shaking.

"Why are you hear" I ask making more distance between us.

"I was sent on a, a s-search and rescue mission for someone's niece, but they were found so I kept g-going, and and I saw this house." He said. His olive complexion was pale white. He was shaking and barely standing.

"Why would you steal if you're a man of law?" I ask. I now realize that he is too scared to even hurt me. Everything that he has known about myths have just been proven wrong. His entire life is now turned upside down just because he made me cry.

"I-I-I it's not important, wha-what are you?"

"I am what you would call a Salient."

"A what?"

He stands terrified. Now what do I do, a police officer knows about who I am and what I am. Do I kill him; he will tell everyone! I can't reveal this to the humans. Why would I tell him?

I slowly come closer to him t where we are at least 5 feet apart.

"Give me your radio." I demand.

"Why, no-no you can't!" He trembled.

"Now." I can't budge; I have to be strong.

He frantically pulls off the radio and tracker that is attached and I smash it against a nearby rock.

"Please don't hurt me!" He trembled to the ground as I smashed it which caused a loud bang.

I have to show sympathy to him to show that I'm not a monster.

I walk towards him as he is huddled on the ground shaking. I place my hand on his shoulder and it sends chills up my spine.

"I am sorry." I whisper to him.

He looks up slowly into my eyes.

"Can I trust you?" I ask gently, putting my hand to my side.

"I won't tell anyone your secret." He frantically scans me with his eyes. He seems more at ease.

I pick up the gun and begin to walk back to my tattered house, I did run pretty far away.

Shortly after I got up to walk home, I heard footsteps.

Liam was following me back.

There was chapter two!!!! I hope you all enjoyed stay tuned for chapter three to see what problems face June ahead. Will Liam tell of her secret?
