My eyes darted open as i woke up. I looked around.
...where is This? What was I just... ?
I couldn't remember anything. Not my friends, family, why I'm here. I decided to look around. I found a small hallway leading to a mirror. I looked into the mirror, no reflection.
Weird...
I turned around to walk back to the room when I heard a slight ringing sound. I turned back to the mirror to see my reflection.
"Hello, me." Cheered the mirror. Oddly enough the mirror talked!
I stared in shock.
My reflection laughed and spoke. "I am you, and you are me. It's a mirror. Obvious, right?"
"Oh I've lost my memories, right," I quietly spoke.
"Don't worry, me. I know how to get them back," The mirror laughed, "Now look into the the eyes of your reflection" I did as I was told.
I found myself in a small room. Probably a bed room. It looked so familiar. I tried the door, but it was locked shut. I tried to look out the windows, but there seemed to be an invisible force pushing me back. I looked around some more.
I found a small teddy bear. "Cute" I muttered. Something about the bear was so familiar to me. I saw makeup on the dresser, but decided it wasn't worth the effort.
There was a desk on the other side of the room. There was a notebook. 'Kikunomiya Academy Class 1-2. Mishiro Usui' I read. The picture of her was on the cover.
I slowly opened one of the desk drawers. There was a small knife inside. I felt the urge to stab myself. I gripped the knife as I plunged it into my throat. My vision became red and it was hard to breath. I slowly felt everything go numb. I fell to the ground.
The sound of glass shattering woke me up. I was lying on the ground where I had been before. Though I still felt a vigorous feeling in my hands, there was no trace of a knife wound.
I looked up at where the mirror had been before. It was Now shattered.
"Welcome back. How did it feel, killing yourself in the mirror?" My reflection asked. It was now distorted because of the shattered glass. I looked at her in shock "What's with that look? You got a problem? Come on. I taught you how to get your memories back "
"...huh?" I remembered something. "Mishiro Usui, 16. I drowned myself in the lake."
"See? Only partial, but you remembered. Remembered your name, and how you died," The mirror said, "Look for the mirrors in this world and brake them. All across this world are mirrors with your reflection. They reflect your memories. Now you know how to brake them, right? Just finish yourself off in the mirror"
"...Break the mirrors...," I repeated.
"You'll get back your memories, and at the same time, grant your wish. Once you brake all your mirrors, you'll have it all back, and can realize your wish. That's the way it works," The mirror informed me.
"My wish..." I sighed.
"Got it? Don't just look, you have to break them. That's what granting your wish entails. Why's that, you ask? Remember that part of yourself. Now find the mirrors."
...I don't remember why it came to that, but I remember that strong wish I had...
To make it so my life never even existed.
Just as I regained a piece of my memory, I felt as if I lost something important.
I started walking back down the corridor to the room I woke up in. I noticed a door that wasn't there before. I opened the door and walked inside.
