Eden

~ Serene ~

It must've been mid day when I finally decided to come out. I stretch and walk outside. I'm greeted by bright sunlight. Ryu comes out behind me and I walk around the camp checking everything out. I come across their ancestral shrine and see wooden pillars. There's tiny animals carved into it. I realize I still don't know what tribe they are.

The animals should give me a hint, mine were tigers.I laugh to myself. My tribes animal was a tiger and yet I have a panther. Because that makes sense.

I look closer to see what kind of animal it is and get ran into by a little girl. I stumble backwards and fall from the force. I look at the girl and she has her hands over her mouth.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She exclaims as I stand back up.

"No worries, you were just having fun." I reassure her.

"You're the lost girl right?" She asks me.

I look at her confused, "Uhm I guess?"

She giggles, "Well I should introduce myself then, I'm Eden! Iorek's cousin." She says as she bows to me. I hesitantly bow back, unsure if I was supposed to or not. She smiles at me so I assume I did right.

"Well I'm Serene, the uh lost girl."

Eden giggles, "We know who you are silly!"

My brow furrows in confusion, "Wha-"

She cuts me off and takes my hand, "You should come and meet everyone!"

I'm suddenly pulled by the small girl back through the camp. Her eagerness makes me smile and remember how my little sister was.

"Serene! Let's go see the flowers!" She pulled me along, "slow down Irisa!!" I laughed. My thoughts go to the day I lost her and I push them out. I can't start crying where everyone can see me. It's bad enough I had a night terror in front of Iorek.

Ryu runs in front of us, running to and fro, sniffing at nearly everything.

"He's cute!" Eden says watching him.

"Yeah, he's a cutie" I agree.

We approach a woman with long dark hair with a single feather in it. Eden starts to make a bee line away from the girl, "that's Uhm Vixen, try not to make too much contact with her, she's a little rude." Eden explains to me as we walk up to a man with auburn hair polishing knives.

"This is Kyvo, Iorek's brother. He's a little snippy Cus Iorek is first to get the head position of chief."

Kyvo laughs and turns to us. He ruffles Edens hair, "Oh don't listen to her, I'm perfectly happy."

He bows to me and I bow back.

"You must be Serene" I nod and he smiles, "it's a pleasure to meet you, Iorek seemed pretty intent on bringing you here."

I grin, "oh really?" My mind also seems pretty intent on thinking about him. "And where is he now?" I ask looking around.

"He's meeting with our father right now" I nod and Eden pulls me eagerly again.

"Let's go"
