Again I am woke up but this time it is by the overpowering fear that is running throughout my body. It was only another dream. I begin to cry, partly because I am extremely terrified and partly because I am so happy it was only a dream. Im so scared I can't imagine ever sleeping again and don't for the rest of the night.
My mom comes in at 7:00 to get me up for school. I reluctantly get out of bed. I'm super exhausted but I know I can't miss school forever. When I get ready I make sure that both my curtains are closed because I know that Jude is always watching me through my windows. Once I am all ready I go downstairs to find my mom waiting on me which is very abnormal. When she sees me she jumps up and says,
"How would you like it if we moved to Missouri?"
I stare at her in dismay unable to believe what I'm hearing.
"What!" I shout at her. "We're moving! But we can't move! We just can't! Not now!"
She looks at me. "I already found a nice house that's ten miles from the nearest town. It's got trees for you to take walks in. It's perfect." she argues.
"But I like the city. I want to stay in New York!" I argue back at her.
"But you've always hated the city. I thought you wanted an isolated place where you could just think to you'r self and I found that place."
"Fine!!!" I shout at her.
The ride to school is then very quiet.
When I get to school I'm in a super bad mood and the fact that all my friends are asking what was wrong all day doesn't help either. And when I get home my mom tells me to start packing! Apparently were moving out in a month and a half! Great.
If we were moving to another city I really wouldn't care but no it's an isolated spot in the middle if the woods. Perfect to make my dream become reality. Sigh. I am absolutely terrified. Should I tell my mom? No. She still won't believe it.
I slowly crutch over to the TV remote and as I do I can't help but look out the window (it's become a habit now). What I see is Jude standing right there! He is literally two inches from the window! I can't believe my eyes!
I stare at him stunned for a little bit and then, of course, right before my mom comes in he leaves. It's like he can sense her or something. I just turn on the tv and watch a movie. When I turn around to go up to my room, there he is. He's inside the house. Where is my mom? Has he done something to her? Did he hurt her?
"W-where is my mom?" I ask slowly.
"She went to the store and asked me to watch you invade you got hurt again." he replies "Is that alright?"
I want to scream at him that it's not alright. That he needs leave. I want run but I know I can't. I know I have to accept it even though I'm terrified. Plus I'm seventeen. I don't need someone to watch me. This is ridiculous. Why would she have him watch me out of anyone else. Why couldn't my grandma watch me. She's right across the street. Oh well. I can see that he's not going to leave so I might as well just do what I always do. Ignore him the best as possible
Soon he tries to start conversation. I could tell he was uncomfortable but I didn't know why until he finally caught my attention.
"Amanda, I know you don't like me but you're going to have to get used to it. And soon."
"What." I snap at him as he slowly begins to explain.
"Your mom comes over to my house every night, just to talk, but she wanted me to tell you that her and I are dating now. Anyway, she wants me to move with you to Missouri. She wants me to live with you girls."
