Lily's POV
"Garroth I don't think it's anything important I mean it's just a feather" i said trying not to get any closer to him. "Ashlie can I see you for a moment?" He asked her and I booked it for the door, my lab coat got caught in the door and ripped off. I had my
t-shirt on underneath but it showed the out line of my wings, Laurence was now chasing after me. I ran into zanes old room before he ran away again, it was dark and had locks on the wall. Garroth never said anything about the locks he just said stuff about trapping Zane so he couldn't escape again. But Zane ran off long time ago. "Why are you running?" Laurence asks me "cause you are draining the life out of a kitten!" I said thinking of something "yea but we've done it before and you where fine!?" He replied now I'm screwed cause I have no reason "well this time was different, I had made a love for that cat!" I said "well you need to understand that they are just animals and you should not be showing the test subjects ANY attention! Got it?" Laurence stared yelling at me "yea I got it" I said and threw on the sweater that was laying on zanes bed, it was comfy and a perfect fit even though Zane was 2 years older then me. "Why are you wearing a sweater or zanes sweater!?" Laurence asked me "cause I'm cold" I replied "but it's 90 degrees outside!" He said "yea I know" I said and walked away. That was a lot easier then I thought it would have been. After I went to the kitchen to find something to eat, that's when I noticed something weird kiwis not in here. She's normally always in here making food or finding new recipes to make for potions, I grabbed a box of nechoos they are quite... Interesting kinda like potato chips, Cheetos and nachos mixed together. Anyway it's only me and ash that eat this stuff... I take the box to my room and sit down on my bed and just look at the sky, the Suns just about to set and Conner walks in "hey babe" he says "hi" I say and don't take my gaze off of the golden sun "what are you doing?" Conner asks " sorry Conner but I just need some alone time right now I can't talk" he leaves and I begin my song "oh sister sun have you sang thus song, the world is changing no longer do you thought that I was the one who sent it off, I don't forgive but you forget that your the one who left me alone, I sing to you in the setting of your sun that I bring this night and the moon shall shone, and twinkle above this brutal sight i bring to thus for the night." I sing and it slowly sets, I pull off the sweater and open the window slightly, I quickly grab the sweater and slip it on as someone else walks in the door. It's only ashlie "hey um you don't by changes have one of your old feathers laying around do you?" She asks "no sorry I want nothing to remind me of he he pain that I had to go through" I said going along the lie that my wings where chopped off. "Ok lil I know that your wings weren't chopped off, we all know you wouldn't do that so why can't you just tell me?" She asks and I just stair at the floor. "Fine ok I get it I'll leave you alone see you at dawn" she says and leaves, about half an hour later Garroth walks in "hey sis" he says "hi Garroth" I reply and move over on my bed so he can sit, he goes to put his arm around me and I pull away "what!?" He says "I um my whole back has been sore from doing stuff lately, and I would rather you not touch it" I said quickly and moved closer to the wall "oh come on sis don't be so sensitive lighten up we are making progress wit this whole shadow night thing and the whole ashlie being able to have fire and stuff with the sun. We'll be fine" he says and puts his arm around my neck "yea hopefully" I say and we look at the stars "oh hey why have you been wearing zanes sweater lately?" He asks "um well Garroth... Ummmm ok I can do this... Garroth my wings where never chopped off... My wings aren't like Ashlie's either..." I say and his eyes get starry "wait you mean you can still fly!?" He says "yea but I don't do it very often or like 7 years" I say and he looks disappointed "you mean you just have them sit on your back and don't do anything." He looks at me "yea" I say quietly "can you show me?" He asks "yea but you have to promise not to tell anyone" I say and he nods. I slowly pull off the sweater. Garroth got some scissors and cut a huge hole in the back of the shirt. "There... B-Black?" He says and tears dwell in my eyes "yes please don't hurt me" I say and start crying into my hands. "Shhhh there's no need to cry I'm not gunna hurt you" he says to me and comforts
me. "Y-You mean your not g-going to hurt me?" I ask and he shakes his head "how could someone do something to a beautiful thing like you" he said and I hugged him "please don't tell Laurence" I says quietly and he whispers I'm my ear "it's ok it's our little secret" I slip the sweater back on and fall asleep on him, I felt him slowly get up and leave but didn't bother moving. "Lily get up I need you to..." "Ash shut up" I say as she blabbers on about me watching her move the sun and that she'll teach me how to raise the moon one day. "Hey sis" Garroth says, I wave at him as I'm pulled out he door. "How did life become so complicated" I question myself.
