Prologue

Zoe's POV - 1999

"I'll race you to the house." I say running towards Ashton's house. I run as fast as my little legs could run. "C'mon Ash! Hurry up. I'm gonna beat you." Just as I say this. Ashton quickly takes off and beat's me to the house.

"Ha, I won." He bursts out as he pants.

"Yeah. Well, I was winning for most of the way"

"Yeah but I still won."

"I'm not talking to you until you say that I won the race."

"Fine you won, for most of it anyway." Ashton Mumbles finally after lots of arguments.

We walk into the kitchen, where Ashtons mum was cooking us lunch, which was pizza.

"Mummy, can Zoe stay tonight?" Ashton ask as his mouth was full of pizza.

"We will have to ask her mum and don't speak with your mouth full."

"Ok and I already know that she will say yes. I can read her mind."

"Really, can you read mine." I ask since they had finished talking.

"Yeah, you're thinking of how good the pizza is."

"Yeah, no. I was thinking of your mum asking my mum about staying over, which by the way I think she will definately say yes."

"Yay, see mum I can read people's minds."

"I'm back." Mum says as she ran into the house.

"Hi mum,can I please, please, please stay here tonight." I say running up to her, giving her a hug.

"Hm, as long as I can pick you up tomorrow and you don't ask to stay another night."

"Deal." I say as I shake her hand.

"Great, you finish your pizza and I'll go get you clothes."

"Okay."

"Mum can we go play now." Ashton said moaning.

"Fine, let Zoey say bye to her mum and you can go."

"Bye, mum, see you soon."

"Bye dear, will be back in about an hour." My mum says, leaves the room.

"C'mon Ash. let's go." I run as fast as I could.

"Fine, I'm coming."

We ran into the cubby where we finished our game that we were playing earlier. We stay and play until it was time to come inside.
