Chapter Two

Serena POV

He was standing right there. I stood there frozen as I looked at him.

I smiled and started to walk forward. Each step made it seem like he was so far away.

I started to notice he was talking to someone. I looked closer and then stopped. He was talking to a girl. She had short orange hair.

He must have ment her over the summer. Ash turned his head and looked at me. He smiled and waved at me.

I rushed forward. "Hey Ash."

"It's great to see you Serena."

I saw the girl look at me. "So your Serena?" she asked.

Ash nodded. "I like your new hairstyle." he said.

I blushed and looked away. "Umm, thanks Ash. Who is this by the way."

"Huh, oh that's Misty. We ment over the summer." he said.

"Hi, it's nice to finally meet you Serena." Misty said.

"Huh?" I asked.

"Oh Ash likes to talk about you a lot." she said.

Ash's face turned red. "I didn't talk about her that much."

I smiled. It was good to know he didn't forget me or stopped caring.

"Serena!" I heard a voice from behind me. I looked and saw Mei running up to us and dragging Hyuu along with her.

As she walked nearer she noticed Ash. "Oh hello Ash." she said as a grin appeared on her face.

"H-Hello Mei." Ash said nervously.

"So do you like Serena's new haircut?" she asked.

I started to turn red again. "Um Mei..."

Ash looked at me and started to blush as well. "Y-Yeah it's cute."

Mei couldn't help but start to giggle. Hyuu suddenly smacked her on the head. "That's enough out of you."

Mei started to rub her head. "Oww, thats not fair Hyuu."

"So Ash, do you know where are we supposed to go?" I asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah," Ash pointed to a list that showed all the classes.
"You find your name on the list."

I moved forward and took a look.

"Yay Serena! We get to be in the same class!" Mei exclaimed.

"Don't forget about me." Hyuu said.

Mei looked at him. "Oh yeah you, we get to be in the same class almost every year." Mei said carelessly.

"Mei, that's rude." he replied.

I couldn't help but giggle. Mei gave me a strange look. "What's so funny?"

"You two would make a cute couple."

Mei's face turned a bright pink. "What!? We're just friends!"

Hyuu started to blush too. "It's not like that Serena!"

"Oh come on you too." I said with a grin on my face.

"I think Mei rubbed off you." Ash added

I started to laugh awkwardly. "Hehe, I guess so."

Just then the bell rang.

"Well me and Ash are in the same class so gotta go, it was nice meeting you." Misty said as she grabbed Ash's arm.

I watched as they walked away.
"Hey Serena let's get to class." Mei said.

I nodded. "Okay."
