Chapter 1- BFF drama

                  *Maya's Chapter*

Ringgggggg....!!!!
"It's already morning?" I groaned, and slapped my alarm clock to shut it.
I got off my comfy bed reluctantly, and went to my bathroom to get ready for school. I brushed my teeth, and turned the knob to the shower to warm, and stepped into it. 
The minute the water hit me, I felt instantly relaxed. After I was done, I wrapped a white fluffy towel around me, and scrounged for some clothes in my closet.
I put some jean shorts with a white top, applied some light makeup, and went down stairs to get breakfast.
"Hey." I greeted my mom.
"Hey Maya. I have to go to work honey, and I will be coming late to home."
She's always working late, and most of the time she's not at home. I sighed in my head.
"Oh ok mom." I said feeling depressed.
"Come on honey, don't feel bad. I will be back home and we can defiantly spend some time together. Okay?" She said sweetly.
"You always say that." I mumbled.
"What was that?"
"Oh nothing...anyway...I am getting late..so I better get breakfast and go." I said to my mom so I can get out of this conversation.
"Oh yeah. Go ahead. Bye Maya, see ya."
But we won't see each other.
"Yeah. See ya."
She smiled at me and left out the front door.
I sighed out loud this time. Normal every day routine I guess.
I quickly took a bagel and munched on it, without even bothering to put some cheese cream.
After I was done, I grabbed my keys and left for school.
I locked the front door and got in my car. I checked my phone and I got 4 messages from my best friend, Sky.
Sky: Omg! I really need to tell you something!
Sky: Can I come in your car? I need a ride to school.
Sky: plz reply ASAP!!!
Sky: Why aren't you replying!? R u not replying not purpose!? Do u hate me!?
Ah nuts. I should've checked my phone! Let me see if there's still some time for me to me to pick her up.
Yep. I do.
Me: oh my gods I am so sorry. I just checked my phone! :( I'm coming to pick u up rn. R u still at ur house?
I got a reply so fast, I bet a cheetah couldn't even beat it.
Sky: YES.
That's all she said? I shook my head. Oh Sky.
Me: be right there in a min.
I drove as fast as I can to her place, which wasn't that far, since she lives in the same neighborhood as me.
I parked my car and rang the door bell to her house.
The door opened in seconds.
"At last!" Sky exclaimed.
"Well-"
"Mom me and Maya are off to school!!! Bye!!" She cut me off.
I chuckled. "Always hyper."
"Yep." Sky replied. She checked her watch. "Dude we need to go to school right this second!!!!"
"Yeah I know chill."

"Your lucky we got to school in time. Or I don't know what I would've done to you." Sky said taking off her seatbelt.
I laughed. "I know."
"Now come on!"
We came to our high school, and went straight to our lockers to get out stuff for first period.
Then suddenly I remembered something.
"Hey Sky?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
"Um remember when you said you had something to tell me? What is it?"
She looked flustered for a minute, but then realization came to her face.
"Ohhhh yeah."
I just stared her, waited for her to tell me what it is. When she didn't say anything, I rolled my eyes and said,"So what is it!"
"Oh. Well...you know how I had a crush on one of the populars, Josh?"
"Well, duh. You never let me forget. You talk about him all the time."
"Yeah. Anyway, he asked me to go to the fall formal with him." She said cooly as if it's not a big deal.
"What!!!" I yelled enough for Russia to hear.
"What? There's nothing wrong with him asking me." She said.
"Wha-no-you-him-"
Sky rolled her eyes and put her hands in my mouth. "Just come to the point without babbling." She took her hands off my mouth.
I took a breath. "Ok. Well...first off. He's a popular! Your...." I pointed my finger at her,"a nerd!"
"So?!"
"So...it's impossible, Sky. Come on. You know you can't trust them! Especially Josh. It may be just a dare or something. Come on! We are talking about the populars!!" I motioned my fingers to the people who are talking in the corner, wearing fancy clothes, and looking like idiots, and I looked at them with disgusted look in my face.
"But maybe your wrong!!! You've always hated them, but maybe if you actually got to know them, they might be not that bad!" She screamed looked really mad.
"What are you talking about! They are the one who judge others without knowing about them. Not me!"
"Well maybe your wrong Maya! And...I just wanted you to feel happy for me that I got a date to the dance....I really didn't expect this!" She looked both angry and sad at the same time.
I was stunned. I hadn't thought about that.
