Garold and Hugh waited patiently by the docks. Waiting for there master.
It was a calm night and considerably cold.
The only sound was the voices of the fishermen as the hauled there catch off the boat.
Garold remembered when his parents used to take him to the docks so long ago.
Back when he was normal. When he was human.
"He's late" Hugh said stating the obvious. Garold didn't bother to answer just sat on the bench in silence.
"Want to get something to eat"? Hugh asked.
Garold didn't respond. "Come on I'm hungry" Hugh moaned.
"Shut up stop acting like a child. You want to get something to eat get it yourself". Garold snarled.
"Ok then" Hugh said sitting up and walking towards the closest fisherman.
Hugh said something Garold couldn't hear to the fisherman. When the fisherman looked up Hugh hit him in the face. The man jumped back out of reach of the next punch. Hugh laughed launched himself at the man.
The man tried to defend himself my swinging a punch at Hugh's face.
Hugh caught the fist in mid air and crushed it.
The man cried out but all the other fishermen had left.
Hugh said something to the man which clearly terrified him by his expression.
Hugh was finished playing now and half dragged half carried the man into the shadow of the crates of fish.
Garold shifted his view back to the sea.
As always it calmed him.
"Mind if I sit here" a familiar voice said from beside him.
Garold smiled this was going to be fun.
"Thought you learnt your lesson from last time we met Rex" Garold smirked looking up at his adversary. Rex was annoying it seemed he got more annoying every time they met. Rex was Spanish in nationality and him and his little gang traveled around in there van fighting daemons and vampires. Garold reckoned they watched to much Scooby doo.
"I don't think he minds" came a female voice from the other side of him.
Sally the only girl in the trio. Rex was annoying but Sally. Garold despised her.
She was tall with wavy blond hair. Garold had vowed to himself he would open her up and show her her own heart.
He sensed someone coming up behind him. That guy Robert.
Garold actually liked Robert if only he didn't try and stake him every time the met. Garold launched himself forwarded off the benched and landed on a Ford Focus.
He turned to take a look at them Rex and Robert had stakes but Sally held twin daggers. Not the best weapons when facing vampires but that was how dumb Sally was.
"Why can't you leave me alone" Garold asked "because really it'll be better for your health".
"We won't stop until your dead" Robert snarled.
"Is that another way of saying you want to beat just one time to make you resells feel better". Garold laughed.
"We are going to ki" Sally was saying before she was cut off.
"You wear saying" Hugh asked holding Sally from behind ready to snap her neck at any moment.
"Get away from her" Rex shouted getting ready to stake him.
"Now now let's not be hasty one wrong move and we'll snap her neck" Hugh said with a smirk on his face. Garold flipped off the car and landed next to Hugh. "Listen we don't have to do this. You walk of with little Sally hear without us harming her" Garold said
"We can't" Rex replied but Garold could hear the hesitant in his voice. He was going to give up sooner or later.
"So boss think we should kill her?" Hugh asked.
"I think so yes" Garold replied grinning at the look on Rex's face.
There was a gargling sound from behind Garold which made him grin harder.
"Try to bite me again and ill shatter your nose" Sally said from behind him.
Garold whirled to see Hugh sprawled on the ground behind Sally.
"O for gods sake" Garold hissed as he threw a punch. Sally duked at the last minute and kicked his legs from beneath him.
He landed hard and pain fully on his back. He looked up to see Sally come at him with a steak. He rolled to the side just in time and cursed as Sally slashed at him again. He gripped her hand mid air and kicked her knee.
She stumbled backwards but in that moment of weakness Garold pushed her of the docks.
Humans so annoying. He used to be one of them. He cringed at that thought.
Garold turned to see Hugh fend off Rex and Robert. Garold walked over to them and grabbed Robert from behind and slammed him into the side of a boat.
He fell to the ground and stayed there.
"They never learn to mind there own business" Hugh snarled "will we kill them boss". Garold shook his head "later we have more pressing matters to attend to". Hugh shied "he was supposed to met us an hour ago. Do dimensional portals really take this long to create". "Smell that metallic tint in the air" Garold said."Yeah" Hugh nodded."That means the portal is opening" Garold replied.
Suddenly out of the corner of Garold's eye he saw a flash of red.
He looked out over the ocean to see a spark of fire stand out in the vast blackness. More sparkles appeared out off nowhere and started to clump together making a flame. The flame flared and in the space of seconds it was a huge flaming fireball. "Wow" Hugh whispered ruining the moment.
He was about to say something else but when he caught Garold's glare he shut up. A shadow started to emerge from the ball of fire.
"Um boss the three musketeers escaped when we weren't looking there van is gone" Hugh said. But Garold wasn't listening just smiling he was here. After all this time the Smile had come to earth.
The Smile materialised out of the shadow and his true form was reviled.
Only vampires could look upon his true form and stay sane.
But The Smile changed into another form that of a human boy who looked no older then ten.
"I have arrived" he said in a slice that didn't belong to the boy.
It sounded like something digging in to his skull and scoping out his brain.
"Yes you have my master after all these years.
"What has happened to Fin he left my world not long ago" The Smile hissed.
"Um that was millions of years ago in the Stone Age" Hugh said.
"Bah that is mere seconds in my world. Do you know wear he went?"
"Some legends say he could not survive in this world. But he wouldn't let this world be taken to you so he cast a spell. He would go to the nether space and wait to be born again. He would be human and clueless to who he really was.
If he remembered who he was a creature would hunt him down and kill him because remembering would brake the spell" Garold replied. "There is a prophecy" Hugh said "that tells when you come to earth Finn would lead the chosen one into battle".
"Well then we'll have to kill him won't we"
