Chapter Six:

Silver's P.O.V:

Today's traffic jam was worse than yesterday's. Idiots kept cutting other people off, causing many horns to honk and many middle fingers being raised.

I sighed and turned on my radio to pass the time.

♫ I heard that you've been ♫

♫ Having some trouble finding your place in the world. ♫

♫ I know how much that hurts. ♫

♫ But if you need a friend, ♫

♫ Then please just say the word. ♫

I glanced at my radio.

Are you trying to tell me something? I don't need friends. I'm fine.

The car in front of me started moving, so I slowly lifted my foot off the brake.

♫ Hold on tight. This ride is a wild one. ♫

♫ Make no mistake, ♫

♫ The day will come when you can't cover up what you've done. ♫

I slammed on the brakes and stared at my radio in horror. I hurriedly punched the off button.

A horn honked behind me, and I glanced in my rear-view mirror.

The school's parking lot finally came into view, and I surprisingly found a parking space in just a few minutes of driving around.

I got out of my car and turned around to lock it when the sound of a 2012 Dodge Charger made me glance up.

Not wanting the owner of the car to see me, I turned towards the school and began walking.

"Hi."

I looked up to see Pizza Guy keeping up with my pace. I didn't even hear him get out of his car.

"So I don't know why you won't talk to me, but it would be nice to at least know your name."

He lowered his head, his light grey eyes peeking up at mine as we walked.

I didn't answer, so he rushed ahead of me, moved to where he was right in front of me, and stopped dead in his tracks. I almost walked into him, but I stopped in time.

I glared up at him, annoyed.

Ugh. What do you want?

He searched my face, amusement lighting up his eyes.

"Hmm." He nodded to himself, seeming to answer his unasked question.

He crossed his arms. "Alright. I'll ask around. I'll find out why you won't talk to me."

I walked around him.

Good luck.

After fourth period, I went to my locker before I headed to lunch.

I smiled to myself when the locker unlocked on my first try, and I pulled it open.
