3 weeks later...

it was dark. sorta cold. i felt....clean? like i had been scrubbed thoroughly. im starting to regain feeling in my body. im on a bed. got a mask on my face. something is poking into my arm. i must be in the hospital. that's good. after what happened to me....yeah. hospital is definitely the place for me to be. i wonder how long ive been here. i dont feel pain so i must have been here for  a while. i opened my right eye. tried to open my left. nope. its been sealed shut. cant even move the lid. it was bright. must have been around noon. i looked around till my eye stopped being blurry. im definitely in a hospital. iv with clear liquid in my arm. breathing mask on my face. i looked down. i had on a hospital gown. it was being pulled up at the bottom by a hand. it was slender with a little woman's watch on it. obviously a woman. i followed the arm to the body with my eye. she wore scrubs. i looked at her face. bright pink hair tied in a pony tail. dark blush on her cheeks. she seemed to be looking at where her hand was. she stared at it for a long time. she put my gown back in place and looked at my face. yeah. we made eye contact. her face went bright red. "...i-i-im sorry. you saw me looking, didn't you?" she asked, her face red as a tomato. i slowly nodded. she started chuckling. "i cant even be embarrassed anymore. this isn't the first time ive been caught. you, sir, are very well endowed. anyway....how are you feeling?" she pulled up the blanket covering me back up. she took off the breathing mask. she started checking my vitals. "...im...ok...i...guess," my voice was dry and hoarse. she grabbed a little cup of water and helped me drink it. felt much better. she looked at the monitor. "your vitals are good. heart rate is steady. looks like you can breath just fine on your own. ill come back in a few minutes to tell you a bit more about your condition. try not to move too much, ok?" i slowly nodded. she walked out. i lifted my arm. flexed my fingers. good. nothing else seemed to be out of the ordinary. i looked down at my feet. two huge casts. i was able to move my legs but not my feet. other arm is ok. i looked down my gown. large fresh long gauze covered the cut on my chest. didn't hurt so it must have started healing.

the lady finally came back. she looked over a chart. "sooo....you are ok, kinda. still need surgery on your severed ankles. afterwards, you should regain your ability to walk in around a month. the wound on your chest has started healing. no over exerting or it can open up again. umm....the reason why you haven't had the surgery already is basically cause we dont know if you can afford it. we simply gave you emergency treatment as is required by law. you will be in a wheelchair that the hospital is willing to give you as well as cover the blood transfusions, morphine, and liquid food. the director was rather generous with your treatment. soo...you will be going home today as soon as the paperwork can be filled out. once you get settled, we will send you the bill for the bed and your er visit. as for your surgery, basically if you dont have it then you will never walk again. the lacerations were way too deep and they severed many nerves and arteries. the surgery will reconnect the tissue and recreate the missing tissue. it is advised that you get the surgery as soon as possible before your feet start to rot due to the lack of circulation. umm...oh yeah. the surgery is 300k not including the room, morphine or food while you recover. umm....you are completely blind in your left eye so it will be difficult to get used too at first but you should make a full recovery in around four months. that's pretty much all i have for you. do you have someone you can call to come get you?" she asked. i had to think. i didn't really remember numbers by heart since i just used the call log on my phone. i shook my head. she looked at her watch. "well...do you know where you live? i can drop you off if you like," she said. i sighed in relief. this nurse is amazingly nice. i can see my friends, and my boyfriend hopefully, today when i get home. "yeah i do know where i live. thanks," i said. wow. my voice was back to normal almost instantly. she smiled. "im gonna go check on your discharge process and bring my car around. ill be back as soon as i can," she said. i nodded and she jogged out. i was happy. it was like the terrible things that happened to me that day were like a dream now.
