*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
"Leilani! Time to wake up for school." My mom yelled from downstairs.
I jump up and then I cry out:
"Noooooooooooo!"
"What's wrong honey?" my mom rushs up to my room worried.
I roll over in bed to face her. A single tear rolls down my left cheek.
"I had a nightmare." I reply.
"Oh hunny, was it the one from last summers trip to visit your father?" she asked knowingly.
I nodded in acknowledgement.
"Its okay hun, it was just a dream, now go get ready for your first day at school." my mom said as she scurried off downstairs to prepare breakfast.
I rolled over just as she closed my door.
"Was it?" I whisper to myself.
Reflecting on the past summers events sent shivers down my spine. The last day of my summer vacation scared me for life.
***Flash Back***
I asked Brad,
"What the fuck?"
His eyes changed into a a dark brown color, as he laughed and said,
"What's wrong?"
I blinked a few times because quite frankly I wasn't so sure why I'd asked that question. My cheeks heated up because he must think I'm a crazy person but I swear I'd just seen his eyes change color. So I held my ground and said,
"Look, I don't know what's wrong with you but eye color is something that does not change."
He shifted uncomfortably as he stood up towering over me and asked,
"Are you okay? You seem kinda tired."
I shake my head frustrated that our moment was ruined now but Brad still had a boner. As I gaze back into his eyes I noticed they were a hazel color once more. I sighed and rubbed my head saying,
"I guess not, sorry I must be hallucinating or something."
He chuckled and said,
"Don't worry I'll take you home now so you don't miss your flight."
I tried my best to smile now that all of a sudden I felt dizzy.
The once beautiful secluded beach was now spinning as rain started to pour out of the dark angry sky. Overwhelmed, I fell to the sand, and Brad looked back at me with a faint smirk plastered on his face and he said,
"Shhh Lei, dont worry your pretty little head I'm gonna take care of you now" as he placed me into his back seat as I immediately fell into a deep slumber.
When I started to regain consciousness I heard the rain pelting on the windows of the car and Brad was on the cellphone with some guy that seemed upset. Brad said,
"She's on to me, she seen my eyes change color, so im taking her back to the pack house to finish what I started and then I'll erase her memory. That being said i want everyone to leave the house."
Brad paused, and listened to the phone until he yelled,
"Beta that was an oder!" rigt before he hung up.
At that moment I tried to open my eyes but then realised my eye lids were too heavy for me to do so. Unfortunately, I didnt possess the power to open my mouth either so I just laid there in his back seat unable to defend myself against Brad so I cried internally hoping to wake up from a bad dream.
My internal sob fest was interuppted as Brad's Jeep came to a halt. He hoped out of the drivers seat and came around to the back and carried me out of the car into some place that reeked of wet dog. All i tried to do was open my eyes but it seemed as if i was paralyzed. He carried me up what sounded like stairs as I hung limply over his shoulder. He finally threw me on what I assumed to be a bed with silk sheets. He roughly gripped both of my wrists and ankles tying them with rigid rope to four different bed posts . He then slapped my face around saying,
"Wake up Leilani I want you to be up for this."
***Flash Back over***
I began to sob uncontrollably as laid in bed remembering a part of what happened the wretched summer's day rocking myself to what I had hoped to be a dreamless slumber.
