I could smell the sent of a beast thing. We are not sure what they are they just appeared one day destroying all of London.
The rubbel was the only thing protecting me from its sight. Moving only a tiny bit out of the cover to get a glimpse of the thing. It stood on six legs and had two huminoid arms. It's skin wasn't there instead it was all bloodied muscle, but it's head was the worst. It had the head of a infant child, but as the thing hunches over a dead body its mouth opens to be a set of long, bloodied, razor sharp teeth and it eyes were only eye sockets. The eyes were on the cheeks.
A little freacked out and hid back behind the pile of bricks I was standing next to. I gripped a steel short sword in my hand. They did nothing to the beasts but I held it anyways since if made me feel safe.
A scream came in the distance making me jump. I could hear the creature behind me shuffling around then take off tword the noise. Knowing it wouldn't return for awhile I started to jog in the opposite direction. There was a small refugee camp on the outskirts of London, the beasts have not found it yet but who knows when the time will be for it.
After a hour of jogging and dodging in and out of buildings I finally got to the bridge to cross a small river. Across was where the camp was. The guards must have heard me because there was absolutely no noise, coming up on the gate there was no guard standing patrol which confused me a little. Pushing the door slightly it opened instantly, no lock. Shit today was the day. Bodies lay everywhere some half eaten, others lay in chunks. I turned around and ran as fast as possible knowing they might still be around. As I crossed the bridge a creature, or a dragon almost. It had two pitch black eyes, it's mouth wasn't there only a pit of pitch black as well. It's wings fanned out as if it were gunna take off. Starting to panic once more I jumped off the bridge in to the cold water twenty feet below.
As I hit the surface the dragon came down after me, slamming into the water barely missing me then flying back into the air. He repeatedly doing this nearly missing me each time.
I tried to stay underwater holding my breath and swimming close to the edge when suddenly I was pulled out from the water into a drainage tunnel.
A old man held me against the side covering my mouth and with the other putting a finger up to his lips to silence me. I nodded my head. He took his hand away and we both looked out of the drainage tunnel to see it the dragon left. He still flew in above the river trying to earth for me. He occasionally dived into it.
After about ten minutes he flew away roaring and belching fire.
"So whats your name," the man said to me.
"Saga what about you," I asked back.
"Alexander the Teacher of Pugna."
He wore a black robe with a hood over his head. It at least looked better than my rags.
I started to look me up and down for something but I wasn't sure what. He suddenly took my hand and pressed his hand on it. "Terram, quam ego dabo vobis," he said. He pulled his hand away.
My hand started to glow. It hurt a lot but I knew not to scream. It started to glow and as it died down it left a circle on the top of my hand and on the inside was a upside down triangle with a line throught the bottom.
"You are know a Saga Venatione," he said with excitement. "Now follow me." He started to walk deeper in to the tunnel before I could ask anymore questions.
It was completely dark as we went through. A small light was somewhere farther down though. We came closer and closer until a door was in front of us.
"Here we are," he exclaimed. Popping the door open he walked in with me behind him. He closed the door behind me. A large room was here. Weapons and armor lay everywhere. In the middle of the room a large circular table sat with sixteen seats. Only three were filled with teenagers my age, so about sixteen to eighteen and all of them stared at my hand.
