Hi, this is one of my first fanfics so please if you can help me do so. I do not own Borderlands 1 or 2 but the OC's Arin, Elise, Xak, and Dezroi are mine, I'll update as soon as I can, thanks and enjoy.
Chapter 1: Welcome to Pandora
Xak looked around on the ship, it was relatively empty, he was happy about that, if there were any more people like the ones on the ship he'd have to make sure to keep his gun at the ready. He looked at the other passengers on the ship, they looked like they were about the same age as him. Two of the others started talking quietly to each other, occasionally looking at either him or the guy sitting a few seats down from him. The two had almost no distinguishing features, except for the blue tattoos going down the girls entire left side. The guy down a few seats down from him looked like what some would call a loner, he was a relatively small guy, not a midget but definitely still short, he looked like he was ready to punch someone in the face if they got too close. I wonder how much longer until we get to Pandora... He thought as he dug around in his pack to get something to eat. he was just about to take a bite of a sandwich he packed before he got on the ship when he heard a female voice come over the intercom. "Excuse me passengers, this is your captain speaking, we have a problem with too many passengers on the ship," That makes no sense there's only four people on the ship, "So in order to fix this problem we have to exterminate you all, sorry for any inconvenience this might cause." Just as Xak was wondering whether or not to abandon ship, soldiers in green and black charged through the doors and had their guns aimed on everyone before anyone could draw their weapons. Maybe if we do what they say they'll give us a quick end.. The soldiers put the two that rode together down on their knees pushing the guy down onto his stomach. Three soldiers came for him, as they forced him down to his knees he saw four soldiers head towards the last passenger. The last passenger stood up as a soldiers grabbed his arm, and as the soldier grabbed his arm the passenger grabbed the soldiers hand and sent him flying across the room, two of the soldiers let go of Xak and went to help the others, the passenger picked up a barrel that had a warning printed on the side reading "Careful Highly Explosive". He easily threw it at the soldiers like it weighed nothing. The small explosion that resulted threw the soldier holding Xak down off balance so he took advantage and bashed the back of his head into his nose, causing him to stumble back. As he held his broken nose, Xak pulled out his favorite revolver and shot him in the chest. The soldiers holding down the other two stood to help the comrades, when one was electrocuted. Xak looked down to see the guy holding his ankle, and he went over to help him stand up. "Thanks." He said as he bent down to help his companion, "I'm Arin, this is Elise." He helped the girl stand and she just sorta stared at him, until bullets sprayed around them barely missing Xak's face. Arin rose to a crouch and shouted to Xak behind cover, "We'll take care of these guys! You go help that other guy!" "Are you sure?" Xak yelled over the noise. In response to Xak, Arin just grinned.
Xak tried to stand but bullets sprayed around him, forcing himself behind cover again. "I can't move! You'll have to get rid of these guys before I can move!" Arin nodded to Xak then said something to Elise and she stood up, her tattoos glowing with blue energy. The soldiers yelled at each other to shoot at Elise but were cut off as a bolt of energy hit one of their comrades. After a quick moment of silence, the soldier who was hit began firing on his own squadmates before screaming and exploding into a fleshy puddle. The makeshift team went to help the last prisoner on the ship, but were surprised to find that he had handled it, with 7 more soldiers in very heavy armour lying dead on the floor.
"Woah..." Arin said as he slowly walked up to the prisoner, "Looks like you're alright." The prisoner looked at lArin and just said, "Yeah." Arrid looked towards the rest of the group, "Well, we all just almost got killed for trying to go to Pandora, anyone know why?" No one said anything, "Well I say we work together to figure out why a major corporation like DAHL is trying to kill us." Everyone nodded in agreement, "So who are you guys? I know you two," Xak said nodding towards Arin and Elise, "But I don't know you." Xak pointed at the mystery person and he just smiled a cruel and weird smile and said, "I'm Dezroi." Xak looked at Arrid and said, "Okay... Well we need to figure out where this ship is taking us, let's head to the cockpit." Arin and Elise nodded and walked to either side of the door, Dezroi following them. Xak sighed inwardly and thought Let's do this. He walked over to the door and nodded at Dezroi, who instantly kicked the door in.
They rushed in thinking there would be more opposition but only two empty chairs and a echo recording. Arin pressed the button on the device and they heard the same female voice from the intercom before they were almost killed, "Hello passengers, I see you are all still alive, that's great, but it ruins my plans, so here's how it's gonna go down. You are all gonna die on this ship. Look to your left, through the window down towards the ground." Arin dropped the echo and rushed to the window and saw a huge machine glowing brightly and aimed straight for them. The echo said one last thing, "Welcome to Pandora." And with that the ship was blasted out of the sky.
