Look...I'm not telling you this so you can feel sorry for me, I just want you to know where I started from.

As far as I can remember even at the age of 9 I was socially awkward, I was way too shy to make friends. I couldn't even look at girls.

Yeah...I remember it all like it was yesterday, before my transformation.
Back to the topic, it all changed when I met Kayton, I had no clue that he would soon become my best friend.
He was the kind of guy that would give shy guys like me a hard time. I remember how he would pester and pester me.
Soon I built up the courage to tell him to back off..well I was going to try.

I walked up to him looking like I was gonna puke. The journey was long, well at least it felt like it, but I still made it there.
I lifted my head up slowly to speak, I took a deep breath and swallowed my saliva. Just before I could utter a word Kayton said, hey Justin.
He turned to Ashley and Janette and said, don't mind him he's just stunned by your beauty. I realized that I was less than a meter close to a female...not one but two.
I began sweating, I felt a cool woolen cloth cover my face, "You were supposed to catch it but whatever." Kayton said.
I bent my head down in silence, as I was turning around ready to run I heard my name, "Justin, why don't you take a seat." Ashley said.
I was completely shocked, this was the first time I had experienced this. That a female would mention my name, well.....besides my mom. Kayton dragged me to his side.
There we go, he said with a smile. The females sitting beside him couldn't stop blushing as they stared at his perfect smile, bright white teeth, soft curly hair and movie star good looks.

"So...Justin is it, how long have you been in this school?" Janette asked.

I've been your classmate since middle school, I answered.

"Wow he actually responded...to be honest I didn't expect him to." Kayton said as he clapped.

As gay as it sounds I started blushing.

"You know he's actually cute when you look past the glasses, cartoon watch and horrible fashion sense not to mention the hair." Janette whispered to Ashley.

Ashley being the friend that she is shouted, "She thinks your cute and wants to hang out with you sometime."
Janette face palmed herself repeatedly for telling Ashley that.

"So are you going to say yes to the lovely lady" Kayton said as he patted my shoulder.

I....I......I would like to hang out with this.....lovely female, I said as I coughed.
I lifted my wrist up to look at the time on my batman watch. Its half past five, I said in a pathetic voice.
"I'm guessing you have to be home." He said.
"Well I think I can walk you home, if that's alright." He said.
I lifted my head up and said, mmm.....sure if you want to.
"Oh I was talking to the girls, but I could walk you home if you'd like." Kayton replied.
I hit my head against the table for being so stupid.
"Aww...its so cute that you wanna walk him home, your so kind." The girls said as they put their heads on his shoulders.
After a minute of drooling over Kayton we got up and set off on our journey to my house. Kayton said a few things that made me re-think my life.
I dropped my bag, run up to the mirror. So what am I, a social reject, socially awkward, what am I, I thought.
I could hear Kayton's voice in my head saying, evaluate yourself, know your weaknesses and improve upon them.
Instead of looking down on yourself because of them, and please oh please stop calling girls females.
I removed my shirt and looked at my straight hair and port belly. I jumped onto my bed and thought, what made Kayton to awesome? What did he have that I lacked?
Then it became clear to me talents, looks, confidence, should I go on? At that moment I stopped feeling sorry for myself and began the evaluation.
