"Mommy..." Dinky asked, almost in a whisper.

        "Yes, Dinky?" Derpy answered softly.

"How did you meet the Doctor?" Dinky continued. Derpy just stared at her daughter. She thought...and thought...until the memory came back to her.

"Hmm...How 'bout I tell you a little story." Derpy finally stated.

"Yay!" Dinky smiled and snuggled under a blanket. Derpy tucked her in, and began the story.

"One day, when I was just a little filly like you, I was practicing my flying. I was getting better. I flew around the buildings, dodging each and everyone. I saw Rainbow Dash. She was so much better...before I knew it, I heard a *thud*. I looked up, and there, looking at surprised, was a light brown pony with a dark brown mane. He had shiny blue eyes...." Derpy told, exactly how she remembered. She started staring at the wall.

       "...Mom...?" Dinky shook her mother.

"Oh..right. Anyway, I looked at him, and shook my head from the fall. He smiled. 'I-I'm Derpy..' I said. 'Nice to meet you, Derpy. I'm Doctor Whooves, but please, call me Doctor.' He said. I must've smiled, because he smiled wide enough to have to close his eyes. I giggled. He opened his eyes. 'So, Derpy, wanna go see what Bon Bon and Lyra are doing?' He asked. I turned my head slightly. The only other ponies I knew were Rainbow Dash, my mother, my father and Doctor. 'What's wrong?' He asked, worry drowning his voice. I must've been staring...'Nothing.' I said almost imediently. He smiled the smallest smile I have ever seen, so i smiled brightly. He lead me towards a table with two fillies sitting at it. only with a pink and blue mane, the other with a minty and white mane." Derpy paused. She thought...and thought...

      "What's wrong?" DInky asked

      "Nothing...just thinking." Derpy replied.

      "Oh, ok." Dinky mumbled.

"Ok, back to the story...where was I... oh, yea. I looked at the two filies shyly...they looked at me like I was a strange creature. I tried to smile, but when i did, their giggles turned it into a frown..."
