Stars POV
A week of school, a week of homework, a week of pretending. That's basically all I've been going through.
At home, it's usually just Ronnie and I. My aunt tells us she's "working late," but Ronnie and I both know she's probably staying with some new guy.
"Hey, would you want to go to this new restaurant with me?" Ronnie asked, biting his lip.
I stared at him with shock, my heart was pounding against my chest.
"Like....?" I asked.
"A date duh." he said with a smirk.
I smiled, "what makes you think I'd want to go on a date with an old man?"
"Well, one, I'm a very sexy old man. Two, I can see it in your purdy eyes." he said.
I looked over his face for any signs of him joking. None. He seemed very sincere.
"Okay. Let's go be crazy!"
Ronnie smiled, "Okay! We're leaving in two hours. Go get yourself together!"
I rolled my eyes but went up to my room anyway. I took a quick shower and was now stuck looking for something nice to wear.
I pulled out a black sleeveless dress, seems simple but dressy. I put it on and add a small white belt to add colour. I dry my hair, and curl it. For my eyes, I put on eyeliner, mascara, and white eyeshadow.
Once I'm done, I put on black heels and go to the living room, biting my lip nervously. I hope tonight goes good!
As soon as I get to the living room, my mouth falls to the floor. Ronnie is staring at me, looking very cute too! He's wearing black skinny jeans, a striped black and white shirt, his hair is slightly teased.
"my eyes are up here Star." he smirks then winks.
I blush and turn to walk out the front door, knowing he'd be following me.
We got to the restaurant in about 15 minutes, and let me just say, it looked pretty fancy.
The building was a gold-ish colour, the windows seemed expensive, heck, even the floor seemed expensive.
"Star?"
I looked to my right and saw my door was open and Ronnie was standing there waiting for me to get out. I blushed and got out of the car.
The restaurant was very crowded, but Ronnie, being who he was, was able to get us in fast. We were seated at a booth that already had someone's things sitting on the chair.
"excuse me, but someone left their things here." I told the waitress.
"oh, they're the ones meeting you though. Just take a seat, I'm sure they'll be back soon."
I stared at her waiting to tell me more, but she just walked away. I looked at Ronnie, and he was already sitting down. I shrugged and sat down too.
"I have a surprise for you Star." Ronnie blurted out of nowhere.
"what is it Ronnie?"
"You'll see." he winked.
Ugh. I hate when people do that. Why tell someone in the first place if you weren't going to tell them?
As I was looking at my menu, two guys in suits came over and cleared their throats. I looked over at Ronnie, but he was already standing up so I followed him. Instead of leaving, Ronnie just shook their hands. I was very confused, so I just stayed quiet.
"Ronnie, it's good to see you. Is this Star?" one of the guys asked.
"Yep. That's her." Ronnie stated bluntly.
I stood there feeling a bit weird. Who are these guys? How do they know me? What the heck did Ronnie tell them?
"Star, sit it's fine." Ronnie smiled at me.
I gave him a dirty look, but sat down anyway.
"So Star, we heard you were very famous in the UK and Europe." One of the men stated.
I shot Ronnie another dirty look, and he smiled apologetically.
"Um, yeah..who are you guys?" I asked.
"Oh pardon us. I'm Tom Walkins. This is my assistant, Richard Storms. I'm the manager of Dawson Records. Ronnie told us you were famous, and we were wondering if you'd want to be even more famous here?" Tom told me.
Wow, was I ready for all this again? I looked over at Ronnie, he was just staring at me intently.
"Um, wow. I don't know. I mean, it was crazy in Britain. I came here to start over, not do it all over again." I said looking at my hands.
"We understand. Well, we should be going. Here's my card if you change your mind. We'd love to have you." he smiled and handed me his card.
Tom and Richard got up and left.
"So.." Ronnie said awkwardly.
I gave him another glare.
"Um, surprise?" he lightly smiled.
"Ronnie, why did you do this?" I groaned.
"Those videos you showed me. You seemed very happy doing what you're meant to do. I don't want you going through the rest of your life bored."
I smiled at what he said. I walked around the booth to his side and kissed his cheek. I brought my mouth to his ear,
"Thank you Ronnie. I'm ready to go home though."
I felt him shiver and I smiled.
"Okay, let's go!" he said, getting up very fast.
I laughed, put a tip down, and followed him out.
Maybe I could consider calling them? I love singing and performing more than anything.
