•The jet pack

NASA designed the jet pack carefully, and tested it carefully as well. NASA tested it by taking the Astronaut and putting them sideways, they then put on the jet pack. The astronaut would fly up off the side at least a foot off, and glided down . When they went to use it in space, all went wrong. When John Glenn went to get it, his visor (glass part of the helmet) fogged up. John could not see anything after at least a minute. He was almost left off to drift in space, when he found the energy to get back into the capsule. Their goal to walk in space freely, was a failure.
