"Please, please, I need more." I pleaded into the phone, the silence on the other end confirming my fears.
"The prescription cannot be refilled again, I told you that last time." The stern, unknown man said.
"What am I supposed to do then?" My voice sounding exasperated and thin.
"Find someone else." The call ended and I only heard the void in which no one was talking yet everyone knew what was being said.
I cut my phone off and closed my eyes, before the hot liquid came puddling around the corners, wishing to be set free.
"I can't let this happen again." I whispered to myself, knowing there was nothing I could do to stop it.
