It's been nearly an year since Geet shifted to her grandmother's place at Pune. Her life at Pune was peaceful. Her grandmother was a retired teacher. She has associated with so many children & she was so understanding. She wasn't an ordinary strict grandmother, in fact she was so loving & caring. Specially she had the ability to understand teenagers & their feelings.
Distance couldn't make the love birds separate. In fact the bond between them strengthened more. Maan secretly met Geet in Pune several times. Geet started studying at a prestigious university in Pune. She loved kids & wanted to become a teacher like her grandmother.
Geet introduced Maan to her grandma as a friend. But she couldn't hide anything from her grandmother. Her grandmother could figure out what was happening around with Geet's behavior. She knew that her granddaughter was in love with someone. She didn't inquire directly, but eventually she sensed that Maan was more than a friend to Geet. Finally Geet revealed her love story to her grandmother.
Geet was fortunate enough to have an understanding grandmother. She blessed both of them. Geet explained that how her family used to treat her & how anxious she is to reveal about their affair to her family. Her grandmother assured that she will take care of everything. She promised that she will convince her parents.
Finally Geet made Maan meet her grandmother. She was quite impressed. She realized that Maan was the ideal partner for Geet. According to her Maan is a gem of a person, who would keep her granddaughter Geet happy throughout her life time. Maan was happy to meet her. But her grandma pointed out that before all, Geet should complete her studies successfully & start her career. She promised that she would make her grandma proud.
It was Maan & Geet's first anniversary as love birds. Maan decided to surprise Geet on their anniversary. Geet sent him a text at sharp 12 midnight. She was impatiently waiting for a reply from him but there wasn't any. It made her a little bit disappointed. She took his photograph which was hidden under her pillow.
'Happy anniversary Maan.' He placed a kiss on the photograph. She held it close to her heart, almost hugging it.
'I miss you so much. Wish I could meet you. But I know that you are focused on something that is important for our future.'
Maan has applied for a university in Australia to complete his masters. He was busy with the admissions in the past few weeks so Geet didn't bother him much. But she missed him so much. She spent most of her time talking to Maan's photograph.
Meanwhile Maan was working on his master plan to surprise his Geet on their anniversary. He pretended to be busy all the time to make Geet feel that he has forgotten their anniversary. Maan got her text sharp 12 midnight but deliberately didn't reply her.
'Happy anniversary Geet.' 'I know you miss me, but just a few more hours to go! I will give a surprise that you won't forget for your life time!' Maan smiled.
It was almost evening. Geet was impatiently waiting for a reply from Maan. She was worried & dialed his number numerous times but there wasn't any answer. Finally she decided to text again but again there wasn't any response. Geet was highly disappointed. How dare can he forget today? Maan! I will kill you if you forget our anniversary. It's almost 5 pm, just a few hours left to end the day! Geet was frustrated.
Madhu was alone at home. Her grandmother has gone on a 2-day pilgrimage & will be returning back tomorrow evening. Her neighbour, a middle aged lady used to come at night because she was all alone at home.
Geet heard a knock at the door. She had a little doubt if Maan would come to meet her. Unfortunately her hopes were crushed. It was her best friend Neha who has come to meet her. Neha is her batch mate & best friend whom Geet met after coming to Pune. Neha was a fun loving girl & also a caring friend. She was aware of Maan & Geet. She became a good friend of Maan.
