'her'
a word that slipped out my lips so effortlessly, it seemed as if it was meant to be there. the fights we got over, and hugs we shared—they defined our relationship. she was always there for me, when i was sobbing over my broken family or whether i couldn't get over myself. the way her hair cascaded over her shoulders so beautifully, like a waterfall of fire. the name cursed my lips, and deafened my ears, like smoke to lungs or a lion to fire. sparkling green that made me smile so brightly, and falling asleep on her lap; like a puppy to an owner. she had me under her starry spell.the flowers i put in my hair, and sparkles painted on my dress; the sun's rising peak and the moon's lowest point. the rain pattering on the wicked green grass, and the perfectly alined flowers painting the yard. it all was her.
everything meant her.
