Hey.My name is Harper.
And I'm really confused.
Can someone please explain to me why it's so hard to move on from someone you loved so much, after they kept hurting you and hurting you?
You've given them so many chances. They say "I'm sorry, I won't do it again." But they do. You say 'This is it. This is the last time,' but you know it isn't. You keep forgiving, and for what? To be hurt again?
You know you don't want to be with them, it's not good for you. But you can't move on. You can't forget, no matter how hard your try. And you hate yourself for it.
Why is that?
They're like anchors. They keep weighing you down, pulling you, restricting you, keeping you from moving. But without them, you'll float away into oblivion.
It's like a part of you has been ripped from your soul. A part you felt you knew so well. A part you thought you could always count on.
You feel empty.
Alone.
Abandoned.
Unwanted.
Unloved.
