I saw the guy I bumped into. I got nothing to do anyway so I'd rather let my curiosity get me today. Just today. I kinda liked his appearance and he's kinda interesting.
I kept following him until I reached the Hall of Mirrors. At the back of it, There was a medieval style castle-like house. It wasn't particularly a house. It was a mansion. I only see these things in Tv and pictures.
I took a step forward for close up admiration. Only to find out... that it was a fake. My head bumped onto a glass. And it's a part of the Hall of Mirrors thing.
How could I be so stupid finding a mansion in an amusement park. Hilarious.
So I looked to the side where the guy had turned to.
He was gone!
I immediately ran to that side. My eyes widened at what I saw.
Heck! The medieval style castle-like, was real. All too real. actually it was for a haunted house. There are people lining up. Couples to be exact. This sounds fun. I'm also a fan of horror movies and detective cases.
Why are the odds in my favor this day? Well, who knows, maybe there's a consequence after all the lucky things I will have at the end of the day. I rolled my eyes at the thought of it.That guy was darn to fast. Or maybe it took me some tine admiring the glass.
The mansion is huge anyway, like 18 couples may be able to roam the haunted house.
After I saw the haunted house, I immediately bought the ticket for one.
He was in the 10th slot of the line, there's 15 slots anyway, couples or single are the same, and I'm at the bottom.Done by the previous line. I heard bragging comments of bravery and experiences of some people. My hands were sweaty.
Sure, I love thrills but I'm not good at lying with myself.
"Hey girl! Good luck with the single adventure!"
Wait. Was that random stranger talking to me?
I looked at my line. And almost couples are here. So the words are really for me. I shrugged. Good luck to me, too.
"Get ready for the exhilarating adventure!" then there's the evil laugh from their speakers as we enter.
It gave me chills down my spine the moment we stepped beyond their steel bars gate. There was white smokes. Everything is fogged up. Floors suddenly are suddenly shaking beneath my feet. Without a warning, people screamed as they are separated with their partners.
The floors are moving. I thought. Then there was a consecutive loud bang. I realized that those are walls closing from different parts in the entrance.
Now, the smoke had faded. Then I saw a crumpled paper on the floor. I picked it up. There's a design that captured me. It's quite Simple yet elegant-- the edges are drawn with pretty curves. It said:
"Oh hello, guest! There are three parts of the castle. Make it out and get a prize or fail and get a bail!"Oh. What he meant was bail out. I am not dumb. And I'm sure that's really what they meant. So, bear with it.
My eyes roamed around the spacious room. It's actually a square-typed room.
I've realized, they had been playing the soft Moonlight Sonata in their speakers at the corner of the room with three Cherubim around it. Also, the ceilings are painted SKIES.
There's a grand piano in the center. A huge fat black cat (a figurine only), a vase with a red rose, and a small song sheet on top of it. I wonder how a musician plays the piano in this small sheet.
There is also a chimney, it is where the light comes from.
On top of it, hanged a big portrait of a noble family. A kind of family on a Renaissance Period where paintings are on Trend. Seriously, trend. There's a big Japanese syllable written on top of it which I do not understand.
In front of the chimney is a huge couch. A white glossy couch that reflects the fire.I walked closer to the grand piano to have a look at it.
There are carvings on the five white keys.FA-MI-RE-SO-LA
Eventhough being alone in this dark room gives me the creep-- with the music and the aura, I couldn't afford to waste my effort getting in here.
I touched the keys consecutively creating the basic sound in music.Suddenly, I heard a loud beep. Then, the timer flashed on the ceiling. Together with it, the monotonous voice of a female.
"Given ten minutes, get yourself out here. Clues are left anywhere. If you can't, then, good luck transporting."I focused my thoughts on the given clues: FA-MI-RE-SO-LA.
For a moment, I let myself concentrate and seated on the couch. I know this is pressuring but at least, I'll try to be calm.
Why aren't the carved notes, consecutive? It should be played accordingly, given: FA-MI-RE-SO-LA. It may be descending or ascending, to descend, LA-SO-FA-MI-RE.
If to descend, what thing descends? I scanned the whole area repeatedly and found the time: 6:52.
Dang it! I'm running out of time. Unfortunately, I've got nothing to descend here.
I remembered what the monotonous robotic girl "Clues are anywhere." As desperate as I am, I've looked at the things around me. I've used words that will make sense on the clues.
I know I shouldn't fuss and let fear overcome me. It's just that, I can't help it. I glanced at the time- 5:04.I'm in the middle of the given time and heart explosion when the soft tune became louder and a cat hissed together with the creaking door.
I felt like crying of what's happening but I know that I should think that this is just a game and I should WIN. In a battle where the odds are yours, your field of interest is at hand, you should stand on your ground. As if my thoughts went wild, and bursting anywhere, I fathomed all of them, out-of-stress and pressure; tried to create a single a thought and I got it.
I have no time to be frightened. My feet moved towards the grand piano, hurriedly. I grabbed what's on top of it. And moved in front of the chimney.
I tossed the fat black figurine first on fire. Then, the small song sheet. Lastly, the rose from the vase.
I do not know if my thoughts are right, at least I tried. It's worth a shot. The next thing I knew, the secret door is opening for me.
