After losing the cars that were tailing us, Jordan and I arrange to get in contact with my parents. Although it may not be the smartest move, we decided it's best we split up, Jordan will lead the CIA away, while I go back home to Glenwood Springs with mum and dad. I need to make arrangements with the school about extending my 'holiday' and I do owe Cody and Lena an explanation.

After contacting my parents we meet at the airport and say our goodbyes to Jordan. The plane ride is quite, my parents made small conversation here and there, but I was in a completely different world. The journey was a little under 3 hours, but finally we arrived in Colorado and drove the rest of the way back to Glenwood Springs. I let out a sigh of relief when I saw the familiar 'Welcome' sign, along with roads and scenery I had grown to know for many years.

My parents have been here a few times before, however they never stayed long, so they don't know it as good as I do. I pull into my drive and smile, Mrs Barrett did keep it looking good. I climb out and I am immediately greeted by her voice.

"Your back!" Mrs Barrett hollers, walking out of her house.

"Hi Mrs B, thanks for taking care of the place." I say hugging her as she approaches me with her arms outstretched.

"It was nothing, I'm just glad to see you in one piece. People were worried, especially that young girl whose been here a few times, came knocking on your door everyday and asking if I'd heard from you." Mrs Barrett explains and she's obviously talking about Lena.

"Well thank you again, so much Mrs Barrett." I thank again and she smiles warmly before going back to her house after saying goodbye.

I walk up to my door, my parents at my heels. When I open it I am greeted with my favourite scent of vanilla, obviously from the candles I like. I collect my post and throw my keys on a little table. I press the button on my messaging machine to hear who has called me and as expected some were from Cody and Lena and of course there would be one from the school.

"Miss Bourne, this is Mr Hewitt. Not only are we extremely disappointed that you have not shown up to school in days, we are extremely worried about your safety, please give us a call when you get this."

I roll my eyes and walk into my kitchen, turning to my parents who are standing there, not knowing what to do. They look uncomfortable.

"Would you two like something to eat and drink?" I ask.

"Sure, that would be great." My dad accepts, but they still look uncomfortable. I realise it isn't because of me...They're uncomfortable with each other.

"OK, what is up you two have barely said 10 words since we met up in New York and flew to Colorado and the entire drive here?" I ask, pointing out it has been over 5 hours.

"Nothing is wrong, why would you think that?" Mum asks.

"Because when we were at the hotel, you were completely comfortable with each other and now your acting as if your complete strangers." I point out and they look embarrassed that I caught them out...Wait did something happen between them? Even though they have spent so long together, they haven't been together, together.

There is a knock at the door and they jump, but I put my hand up to calm down.

"Relax it's my friends." I explain and walk over to answer the door. As soon as I do I am tackled to the floor.

"YOUR BACK! OMG!" Lena screams causing me to laugh.

"Lena get off her!" Cody exclaims picking her up.

"OMG I HAVE SO MUCH GOSSIP TO TELL YOU!-" She starts screaming but I cut her off by putting my hand over her mouth.

"Lena, calm down. Breathe." I say and she starts to calm down. I see Cody looking in the kitchen and then he looks at me.

"Parents?" He asks and I nod.

Lena and Cody sit down and make themselves at home like they usually do and my parents look at me weirdly.

"They're here all the time, they love having a friend who lives alone." I explain.

"It helps when she's a great cook too!" Cody calls from the living room.

"That's Cody's way of saying he's hungry." I say, earning a wide grin from Cody before he goes back to watching TV.

I walk over and start making food for everyone while listening to Jessie J 'Masterpiece'. I end making a buffet of food, like chicken nuggets, sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, with a lot of snacks too. When I lay the food out in my dining room I go to call the school.

"Good Evening, Springs High School?" I hear Mrs Dean the receptionist say down the phone.

"Hi Mrs Dean, this is Tessa Bourne I was wondering if Mr Hewitt was still around?" I ask.

"Ah, Tessa good to hear from you. He isn't available right now is there anything I can do to help?" She asks.

"If you could pass on a message that I would like a meeting with him that would be great." I say.

"Of course, will you be attending school tomorrow?" She asks.

"I'm not 100% on that yet, I have some family stuff to take care of, but don't rule it out." I say honestly.

"OK Tessa, thank you for calling." She replied.

"Bye." I say before hanging up and walking back over to my parents and friends, who have no started digging into the foo I made.

I wish life could be like this forever...But I am a Bourne after all.
