She can't help but look in the mirror and see the person she's recently become. Heartbreak could had easily been the taste on her tongue, but she decided that it was fear.. how was this day going to go? Would he glance in her direction? Maybe his heart would pound so ever slightly quicker and he would think to himself, "I have to come home." but then again, she knew she was no longer his home.
She quickly shook her head and began brushing her teeth, "Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High" by the Artic Monkeys was playing softly in the back of her mind due to her Beats Pill that was sitting on the toilet besides her. The lyrics and intriguing beat making her feel a bit more confident about herself, like the way music can sometimes affect people like her. The people who can feel the lyrics rattling their bones and the beat of the music making their heart shake. She looked in the mirror and took in notice that despite the fact that she had gotten at least eight hours of sleep, the dark circles remained. She decided this was because of the dreams that involved him, she wasn't tired physically but emotionally.
It's so easy to tell people you no longer care, she thought to herself. And it's also quite easy to tell yourself that despite the fact that your heart aches and is basically screaming to burst out of your chest so it can jump right back into his arms.. so it can rest there and decide it's content, and it has found it's happy place that this just isn't how things are supposed to be. She shook her head again and headed back into her room. She quickly began pulling on her skinny jeans, refusing to look at herself in the mirror because this was the same skin he had touched and was no longer touching anymore.
When she finally got finished getting dressed and tying her all black vans, she quickly straightened her hair and applied a fair amount of makeup. As she walked out the door, she took a sharp breath in... hoping that they wouldn't have classes together but also hoping they would have all of them together.
