Life was hard after that and still is. I have to live with my alcoholic Uncle Tom. He's been arrested a few times now. School is a different story. My teachers hate me. No one talks to me, but that's good, in a way. If i had friends then i would have to tell them, tell them about my mum and dad, and my Uncle Tom. I couldn't do that. Really I couldn't, i tried to talk to the librarian from across the street and i couldn't even do that an i've known her for nearly all my life.
When school has finished i always take the long, scenic route home. I love it in Autumn especially when the trees leanves are a beautiful golden shade of orange! I go through the 'Hilton Park' it's not as fancy as it sounds, but it'll do for me! The long gravel path between the trees helps me relax and makes me take my mind off the horrible school days i have to go through.
I shoved my hands deep into my pockets and grabbed my ipod, as i unraveled the headphones i bumped into a small blonde haired, blue eyed girl. "Sorry, I didn't see you" I said. "It's okay" she smiled. "I'm Sophie, what's yours?" her voice was soft and hippyish! "Um, i'm Anne, nice to meet you" I replied. "So. How old are you? I'm 17" said Sophie. "Well, i'm 16. And i'm really sorry i have to go" I didn't actually have to go, i just wanted to get away from her as quickly as possible before we told each other everything. "Oh, well nice to me you anyway" she waved as she walked past me "Bye!" Her head turned and her eyes were fixated on me "Bye" I sighed. I quickened my pace and finally was out of the park.
