4 am

My cousin recently moved Secunderabrad , India
On a recent road trip exploring America , we were shootin Shit and exchanging ghost stories and laughing at the similarities and differences between America ghost stories and Indian ghost stories when I asked her if she has experienced anything supernatural
Her eyes widened averted out the window
Just when the slience was getting to me she softly responded "yea. A few. One is troubling"

When I was in my second year of collage I stayed in a all-girl hostel, I made many friends
We all were happy to be in school and away from our conservative parents
The hostel was so much fun but it was very very old building
Electricity was only put in rooms, sometimes candles were placed along the windows if a watchman was present
But normally Once you left the rooms you were faced with comeplete darkness
It's common to wake someone if you need to walk down to the restrooms at the and of the hall
We all had a childish fear of being alone in the dark

One night, I had to use to bathroom

It was about 4am

I went to my friends bed and tapped on her arm
She opened her eyes as soon as I touched her
I apologize for bothering her but I need to pee
She looked at me , smiling, and hoped out of bed
All the way down the hall she laughed and danced
I could not see her but her bangles clanked together loudly and the bells on her ankles jiggled softly
I laughed and sashayed my hips down the hall with her
Too tired to match her elaborate arm movements
She said nothing to me but occasionally I heard her hum one of her Bollywood songs
The same thing happened when we returned and I fell back to sleep easily

I awoke very late to the sound of men in our room
They surrounded her, I bolted from my bed ready to protect my friend
When I realised they were administrators of the collage
I peer closer my friends lifeless eyes were fixed on my bed; the same smile on her face
Suicide
Her time of death was 11:30 , 5 hours before I woke her
