The Game Changers

Erica~Discovering our Powers

Once upon a time, not very far into the future, there was a group called "The Game Changers." But, let's not get ahead of ourselves. My name is Erica Snow. I'm the daughter of Hazel Snow, inventor of the Parabox. I have strawberry blonde hair and deep blue eyes. Ever since my mom created the Parabox, it's been pretty hard for me to make friends. Everyone treats me differently because I've been on TV, the radio, and in several different movies as the lead role. One day, I met a girl named Effie and she actually treated me like a human being and we've been friends ever since! We were messing around by a TV one day with Halo 5 on. After I gave her a playful push, she disappeared. She was in the video game! And that's how we found out we had superpowers.

"ERICA," Effie screamed "GET ME OUT OF HERE!"
"I can't," I sobbed "I just can't!"
"Erica," Effie calmly whispered "Please get your mom."
"I can't" I once again replied, sniffling "She's out of town, and I don't think we should tell anyone about this."
"You're right," Effie calmly said, and with that she stepped out of the video game, into reality.
I can't believe we just did that! I thought. We can go into video games? I then tried stepping into the video game. It didn't work.
"Hey Effie," I said "I think that we can only go into certain kinds of games. Like, you can probably only go into shooting or adventure games."
"Hm," Effie said, pulling out my iPad "Try going into Crossy Road"
I reached out my arm and pushed kind of hard on the tablet. All of a sudden, I was on some grass, needing to cross a street filled with blocky cars.
"Woah!" I yelped "Maybe I go into blocky games?"
I stepped out of the tablet and turned on PAC MAN. I put my arm in and all of a sudden I see a yellow guy quickly going past eating some... bouncy balls? I stepped out of the game and said
"I know what my power is, and so do you."

A couple years later when we were 14, we met a girl named Jessica Wood. She was an amazing singer, loved reading, and was a game changer too. When we invited her over to my house to play Guitar Hero, she went into the screen as one of the people! She hopped right out after we were done and looked at us worried. We just told her that it was fine and we could go into video games too.
I told her "I go into blocky and old fashioned games!"
Effie said "I go into 1st and 3rd person shooter games!"
Jessica replied, relieved, "I go into music games. Like, Guitar Hero, as you just saw."
After that, we went downstairs to get lunch just to my surprise, my mom was home!
She looked at me and said, "I want to give you and your friends something. What would you like?"
We all exchanged glances and said simultaneously "Lunch."
Mom looked at us and said "Do you want to go out, I can bring you anywhere you want! Olive Garden, Red Lobster, The Dish (A super high classed restaurant)."
"Well, I would love some Pizza Hut with wings, bread sticks, and stuffed crust." I said.
Jessica and Effie agreed. "Yeah, we don't want anything fancy, pizza is always delish! I especially love stuffed crust..."
They rambled on as my mom took me into the next room over.
"Why, are you not wanting to go somewhere fancy? You always love doing this! You don't even want sushi?"
"Mom, you know I love you but, I don't always want to be this perfect picture of a high classed girl who only eats the fanciest foods!"
And with that, I left the room without looking back.
